For those that have stayed in Emperors Field before, I'm after a better general picture of what it's like?

Wondering if shower's and toilets are more accessible on the site, rather than really dispersed (as I've experienced at other festivals)? I'm thinking about needing the loo in the middle of the night, and not having to walk a mile whilst navigating guide ropes!

Also, does anyone know if the timings are out yet, and if they are, where I would find them?

Thanks in advance! :)

Emperors isnt that big, youll have 100mtrs tops to get to the toilets, cars are parked on the opposite side to the tent pitches, again, up to 100mtrs max. The emperors has a private enterance into the arena so its quick to get in from the field.

No timings out yet, cant imagine there will be any out until you get the lanyard at the festival. If you wanna see someone in particular we can estimate when theyll be on for you, bare in mind the line up can change though

Ahh cool, glad I won't have as far to go as in previous experience!

Planning on seeing most of the headliners I think, was thinking more about planning for the smaller stages during the day though, will just have to get a lanyard once we're there.

This is a silly question...

We have our camping tickets, car park and Thursday tickets. We now might be able to get our hands on Emperors tickets

Emperors tickets say Fri-Sun, does the general Thursday ticket mean we can get into Emperors as well on the Thursday when combined with an Emperors ticket?

Thanks!

for those in the non-Emperors areas.......is there an option to pay for a shower.....I'm an old man these days and used to some comforts, might get my grumpy hat on if I don't get my morning wakeup shower and feel like shit the rest of the day as a result :)

What sound system do they use? is it particularly druggie festival?

I don't have a problem with drugs or drug users I just don't want another Glastonbury style event, with to much temptation to be tripping balls constantly.

What are the general food prices like and what would you suggest for a darn good feed? I eat anything!

The festivals what you make it, I'm sure there will be a certain percentage on one thing or another but its relatively small in comparison and well policed. The festival also promotes itself as child friendly and family orientated.

As for food joints, there's the usual mix of festival food of different styles from burgers to curry, can't think I had anything that dodgy last year but no idea if the caterers will be the same this year, prices were typical for festival £2.50 to £3 for chips, burgers around £3.50 and full meals around £6 to £7.

As for sound system, nee idea !

Hi,

We're going to this one for the first time and are planning on leaving on Sunday night after Primal Scream (as I couldn't get Monday off work). I'll have the car packed on Sunday morning, but I was just wondering if it's easy to get off site on Sunday night? Sometimes at other festivals I've known the car parks get a bit jammed up at "peak departure times". Thanks.

It might take a little bit of time to get away but can't imagine you'll be looking at more than an hour to get out tops. The capacity is smaller than a lot of the major festivals and a majority of the people will stay till Monday

    • Really well done, Primavera. Maybe the biggest name on the lineup as a surprise. (Ecpecially if Robert joins this)
    • There's one way it can get bigger- if Robert Smith joins her on stage
    • I see what you’ve done there.  If they stick with an electronic opener I reckon it would be someone more “radio friendly”. Rudimental, FBS etc
