Am I crazy? planning already

So I went last year for the first time, and this time a few more family members are coming on top of who came last year. It's their first time next year for a few of them, I have been planning things, looking at tents clothes trolley etc since I got all the tickets, I am the only one planning,lol I want to make the most of the festival next year after learning a few things last year, but am I crazy to be planning already, I am checking out all the gear as It's in the sales.

No because all the camping stuff is on the cheap.

I'd say the people who aren't looking at buying their tents / equipment now are the ones who are a bit silly.

That's what I think,lol but my hubby says its ages away and I should chill, he didn't come last time and i love shopping of course

I always put my tent up in the garden before a festival to see if it needs any mending or something buying for it (pegs, ropes etc). I'm thinking about doing it this weekend now that's crazy.

It's odd that tents are cheaper at this time of year - it's the most popular time of year for hill-walkers to go wild-camping as it's not too hot or too cold. I guess the family camping/festy tent market is way bigger than the light-weight camping market.

That said, I'm planning - looking for things like ponchos (though it's not going to rain) and wellies (even though it's definitely not going to rain) and coke cans with secret compartments (even though I'm not going to get searched).

I plan all year round. Given that I know I'll be going to a few fests, even if I haven't yet got tickets, I'm always on the look out for camping porn.

how are you making sure you don't have double items? I always have this problem and I dont have a phone! I usually only go to festivals with online friends.

I carry what I need apart from sharing my tent with hubby this time, last time I had a 2 man tent for me everything else is small items only for my use, I don't think there is anything to share. What do you end up taking that you have too many of?

Bought a trolly in Aldi today. Bought a headband torch last week. Have decided on a campsite strategy.

Makes perfect sense to buy camping stuff which you haven't got now as the prices are low. If you have the money why wait until the prices go back up again. Plus it's an opportunity to shop. Go girl!

If anyones after a tent for themselves I bought this tent last year before Leeds Festival (my old tent had a massive hole in it). Best 60 quid I've ever spent, £45 it is now but was supposedly £180. Absolutely loads of room in the bedroom bit and enough room for at least 3 people to sit in the porch in deck chairs if it's raining, you could get about 6/7 people chilling inside if it's raining and you haven't got a gazebo.
