Quick Campervan Question

We are thinking of going for a Campervan for 2013....

The Van we can get our hands on though is 7.45 metres long - Do you reckon we'd get away with that? (I realise that 7 metres is the official limit)

Please offer your experiences!!!

For some reason the other similarly titled thread that I tried to start, did not work!

So, I'll try once more...

My wife and I are regulars but this coming year we are going to see if we can get tickets and stay in a campervan for 2013. Luckily, we have friends that are lending us their van for the week ..... But I have one question regarding the size allowed.

I know the official limit is 7 meters long, but the Campervan we will be using is 7.4-7.5 meters in length.

How stringent are they?

Would we get away with this?

Or have I got to buy two Campervan tickets?

I guess the best idea would be to ring the festival office and see what they say.

Yes, I'd also contact the festival office to check. Mind you, even if they said no I'd be tempted to just go for it as it's only half a metre longer and they'll never be out there checking every camper van with a measuring tape.

It will be a condition of the licence thing , prob to stop the traveller coaches !!!

Over the last 11 years i have seen plenty of motor homes longer than that , not to mention the old travellers coaches there . As has been said who is gonna measure it , and a motor home of that length is not out of the ordinary - many are between 7 - 8 m

Looks like the maximum length has been increased to 8 metres anyway so you should be ok.
