I was there and it's was bizarre when they were talking about acts who were performing and some fella called trey sonz got a bigger cheer than kasabian! I simply bowed my head in shame. Technically I was in glastonbury festival though as they had borrowed the superfence! Had great pleasure in declaring this to my less than amused girlfriend...

I went yesterday (Sunday) - very enjoyable day.

Mixed bag on the weather (it actually hailed briefly early on) but I ended up with a sunburnt face...

No real comparison with Glasto (I'd say the arena was similar in size to Reading) but it was very well organised.

In terms of things Glasto could potentially learn from, I had two:

1) Something was bothering me while I was watching something on the main stage. I realised it's because, despite being a fair way back I had a perfect view. That's because there was nobody holding up a giant flag advertising their love of sausages

2) Although it was far from demographically representative of the area it was noticeably more ethnically diverse than Glasto. There were obviously a number of factors here (it was effectively free, tickets were reserved for London residents, it didn't require camping or travelling, it was aimed at a Radio 1 audience etc.) It was quite nice to see and is an area that I'm sure GFL would like to make progress in.

Plenty of Highlights there, Plan B, Nas, Jay-Z, Jessie J, Gyptian. etc.

And there is nothing new in this world....

It would be lovely if Destiny's Child re-formed and played ANY stage at Glastonbury, that would be resplendent indeed. Given the unlikelihood of that ever happening I give you this triumphant show in London 2001. My they were good. So many classics.

for supposedly 50,000 people on site, it was easy to get to good spots all at all the stages

The arena area could handle 80,000 capacity easily.
