AC has said on twitter "The gestation period is almost over..." and said that it'd be over much sooner than you might think.

Considering he's said at least 2 have been booked and the third is nearly done, i reckon a late september announcement/early october before summer has disappeared

To be honest, he has said that of the band band members were this this past year but hasn't said they were playing has he? He might mean Maiden and just put what people want to hear. Someone from Maiden could literally have been visiting the fest and chose to make it seem more, if not, I wouldn't bet against

B4MV

Stone Sour

Rammstein

Deftones

Iron Maiden

Not sure here.

I can't see him getting Tool, they don't seem to care about here. And Corey loving Download - for that reason I reckon Stone Sour next year along with own Knot fests and then 2014 they return with a new album. I can't see at all them playing next year to then be a too soon repeat booking as they came to soon for the album.

If they're going to go with a risky new headliner, A7X are the more likely choice. Most people seem to be accepting them as a future headliner, where as I think there;s still a bit more uncertainess around BFMV - especially as they're what, 4th down at Reading this year? Where as A7X have taken a year off, to build hype between their last show which was subbing at Download to much success. Other than that I think you could be on the mark.

I think they could swing the Pantera reunion thing with guests filling in for Dimebag's parts to be honest. I don't think it'd go down as bad as Queen certainly, seeing as it'll have been the first time something like that's been done for Pantera - and if they chose the right guests and not the guitarist from Maroon 5 or whatever, your metalheadz crowd aren't going to get up in arms about that too much.

    • Never too early to start discussing next year’s headliners right?   I’m not attending this year so thought I’d get the ball rolling as I saw Weezer have a new album out in August I’d expect them to do this or Slam Dunk next year. I mean they’re probably too big for this however I think they’re niche enough that they would maybe do it, it just depends on if the fee is a bit out of range for trees.    It’ll be the 20th anniversary next year so I’d expect some throwbacks and hopefully some big headliners/acts. James has already said he’s made a mad booking that you wouldn’t guess & I think he mentioned that he’s spent something like 80% of this years budget of next years top line already on last weeks 2 promoters 1 pod (Don’t quote me on that).    I reckon they’ll try for and get at least two (not all) of the following - Enter Shikari, AFI, Weezer, Sex Pistols Feat Frank Carter, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls
    • for some reason last night watched series one of Prey on Netflix.   if Legends was written by Timmy Mallet (see above) then Prey seems to have been made by Mr Blobby.   why are all these British crime dramas so sh*t?
    • It'll be all over various Seatfillers based upon previous years at Sandringham
    • The Jayhawks 2026 UK Tour    Sept 15 – Brighton – Corn Exchange  Sept 16 – London – Electric Ballroom Sept 17 – Manchester – Academy 2 Sept 18 – Glasgow – The Garage    For you ‘americana’ lovers. They have a great song book.
    • Weezer just announced a new album & US tour so could add them to the headliner pool. Imagine they’ll do this or trees
