There are three incredibly stupid arguments to have about music:

1. What constitutes 'pop'

2. Whether a band is on hiatus or whether they split up and reformed

3. Whether it's right to carry on without original members

4. What constitues 'doing it for the money'

I've seen all of these on here in the last couple of days.

1) Well they were already playing Sublime songs before Sublime with Rome but what makes you think they weren't?

2) A band in their own right but are playing some else's music, yep no contradiction.

If there's 3 why did you mention 4? And can this one be the 5th?

I wonder if there is any bands out there(not counting the likes of sugarbabes) who have no original members left in there group?

When you think the singer is usually the most important band member, why on earth would you go and see a band with a different singer? I can only really think of genesis that have replaced a singer and gine onto further success, or maybe sabbath.

Mustaine wasn't the singer, he did lead guitar and backing vocals like Kirk does now.

I think Pantera got through 4 singers & 3 albums before they finally got Anselmo who told them to fuck off with the glam rock stuff and become what they were.

I don't think you can say Pink Floyd went on to greater success after changing their lead singer.

And Linkin Park did when they got Chester in.

Google tells me there's no orginal members in Thin Lizzy and that's about it.

1) Once again they were already playing Sublime songs so the motivation for them to use the Sublime name is for money.

2) You must not be that stupid to not realise for a band to exists in their own right they must do something on their own which isn't the case for Sublime with Rome as they use Sublime's music and name.

3) From earlier you were saying that as long as the members/family of the band agree then it's fine so unless you're saying Brad wasn't a member but you must admit that as both of them knew Brad's wishes and went againt it is in bad taste.

4) Misquoting is when you take thing out of context, you left out half of what he said. Have you now run out of places to go with it that you're left with "What of it"?

Are you really so stupid that you think Sublime with Rome isn't about money and built their "success" on Sublime's Brad's work?

Ignoring the point...so we put aside the court's decision it was actually Brad's legacy do you or do you not agree it's in bad taste that both members went against the known wishes of Brad & his family and started this up?

So he finally realised it was stupid and wrong unlike some then...
