Whitney Houston RIP

Anyone else think they're making too big a deal of this Whitney thing? The wall to wall coverage of the funeral and the phony outpouring of grief over the last week was in bad taste to be honest. People who didn't listen to her music, knew nothing about her, hadn't seen her do anything for over a decade in tears on TV and collapsing into friends arms from grief.

Bored people with nothing to do, following drama around to punctuate their own sad little lives.

Its totally pathetic. CNN has literally had wall to wall coverage for the week. Somehow they've managed to fill up about 23.99 hours a day with zero news.

after 23 hours of solid whitney coverage ...

"Whitney is still dead .... and in other news, hundreds of people are dying on the streets of Syria, but its a country full of Muslims that we're not bombing so no one gives a fuck, OK, back to Tom who's stood outside Whitney's house. Tom, any news?

"Nope, but I'm going to continue spouting sentimental bollocks and hype it up by saying complete tosh such as "its as big as Elvis or Jacko dying" "

continue ad infinitum

They actually had, during the 2 minutes when they weren't talking about Whitney, ... "BREAKING NEWS: eye whitness reports that Whitney was seen drinking champagne 3 days before her death"

almost threw my tv out of the window, but decided to change channel instead

I have to say, it had a damn good line up, Alicia Keys, Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder, compered by Kevin Costner. Not bad at all. I would spend money for a lineup like that.

Unfortunately due to illness Aretha was a no show, but Stevie killed it! (figuratively speaking)
