Massive Attack and Kraftwerk both headlined Bestival in 2009, wouldn't say it done it any harm.. :P

But yeah, they ain't done much since so if bands aren't touring then they can't book them.

Costs compared to European Festivals are immense in the UK, hence why every European one is a better deal than the UK scene.. that's just the way it is. So you can't compare them.

And plenty people are happy enough with them though.. me for one

That's what having a varied line up is about, can't please everyone all of the time :)

If it continues to disappoint then plenty other festivals around which is great as we have a choice in the UK :D

I would love to see Sven Vath at Rockness, love him but if he was headlining I'd be worried about what's under him. He is a tent or high up act to me for Rockness. Granted in Ibiza or Dance specific festival he could but not Rockness.

Laidback Luke definitely not playing, just said this on twitter -

I'm not there sorry, I'm doing a US bus tour then. RT @Kathryn_Beaton: @LaidbackLuke please say you'll be at #Rockness this year?!

Would of been suprised if he played again, he is amazing though, saw him at Rockness and then at the Arches in November, would of been a good Goldenvoice headliner in my opinion.

Diynamic isn't one of the biggest electronic labels in the world, is it?

You're just arguing for the sake of it, as your last comment shows.

Vath is on a different level from Deadmau5/Laidback Luke and I would expect that to be reflected in his cost, which is probably why he won't play, ever.

The best things about rockness are the acts on the smaller stages and the night time entertainment like the arcadia afterburner. If you get a few good acts on the main stage then that's just a bonus. For a medium sized festival they get some amazing acts.

I just want to see who the 3rd Golden Voice headliner will be, first thoughts were Chase and Status but I don't see why they wouldn't be announced with the rest yesterday unless they're contracted to another fest and Rockness have to hold back.

Still really hoping for Air, Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, Sebastian Tellier, Garbage, 2 Bears and Soulwax

    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
    • This Isaac wood news has dropped right out of left field. Great to hear he feels up to doing live stuff again    what will he play? Solo stuff , old BCNR stuff?    It’s only in November , it’s a bold booking to for someone who has previously had some struggles to come back and play a load of new stuff to crowds that big
    • Wow, Blink-182 back so soon. They’re the band they’ve never booked then. Great booking if they’ve got them.    Deftones, Papa Roach, Knocked Loose   Lamb of God   Blink-182, Avril Lavigne, Good Charlotte   Megadeth   Slipknot, Gojira, Motionless In White   All Time Low
