This is my whack at it.

Personally I think Flo would be better fit subbing The Cure. Not sure if Lostprophets would take a slot below Flo, so if they play they might be subbing a head or headlining NME a la 2009. Bit shaky.

Two door might not headline NME, they haven't got very much material. It would be nice to see YMA6 on the main stage again, their new album is a good one. Shikari would fill the tent and be a good contrast for The Cure. Kele is obviously back with Bloc Party this year - they did a great job subbing Radiohead in 2009, and they'd be welcomed back with pretty open arms.

Tenacious D and Pixies (and the D subbing Pixies) is a bit of a long shot - a bit of a "nice to have" end of festival Sunday.

Lostprophets tickets haven't exactly been on sale very long, they will sell it out, and their album will give them more popularity.

Remember the festival is like 6 months away.

Its an intimate gig, for around 100 people. Its just a local show to release their new album..

Enter shikari played to 150 people the other night, doesn't mean they should be low nme..

Hope thats cleared it up.

Also The Specials is another one I don't see playing. They are not a big young persons band, and they are defo V over R&L. They did a UK arena tour not that long ago, I reckon they just might take festivals off or play somewhere that'll appreciate them more now.

    • I've come across a few this weekend saying Deftones aren't big enough for Download.   I would recommend b&b hotel hbf the night before....cheap, comfortable and very decent. Within 10 minutes from the station and a tram stop outside to jump on...all travel is free during the festival time as well with a kombi. Lidl is very good and cheap I can't lie....€6 for a chair with carey handle, €20 with a bag too...you can work that out yourself.   If you camp, get up at 5am and go to the queue....literally don't question it as now I know.     The travel wise part is easy when you get the hang of it and I've never had an easier exit from a festival today tbh. We were camped in the turn left section but past the registration and to get water you have to come right out.   Opening up an exit through he camp at least by Friday morning when everyobe is there would be much better but you csnt walk through general if you're green and sonon.   I think the issue for me probably too is I have never taken like a mutliple litre water too, I've always done a 6 pack water from like poundland lol but you definitely need it. I had one shower that was cold lol   Talking of getting into the front, Volbeat was the only easy one, for Maiden and especially Linkin Park if you weren't in the queue for it by at least the last quarter ot Architects you had no hope....it was shocking. I do like orbit to sit down. I had to decide to sack off Within Temptation too or no chance.   Second stage biggest gripe is the faff of walking all the way round when VIP or whatever it is literally get access to each bit. I did read tbh before going people though RIP/Ring was turning too much the wrong way.   Also as a side note, caught some of Limp Bizkit last night too and they are not headliner but any distance at all. Yes they pull a crowd...they would do with LP finished but on the grand scale its a super weak booking. Stop, start for video recordings all the way through a headline set?, 1hr 15 minutes and you can't play for that time. I'm so glad they were not chosen to headline main.   On another thing, if RIP played it right they'll get GC and Avril to sub/second stage headline on the Blink day.   Toilets and cleanliness is a big plus I will say that.
    • Any of the likes of Keo, Basht. and Cardinals could all fit in here.  Although they’re the sort of bands that could fit many of the stages at Glastonbury
    • Glasto loves a come back act - how about the Rapture?
    • Yeah mentioned in the park thread but feel more Woodsies to me
