Posted on the other list but I'll add them here as well in the hope that S & S are reading the thread!

Avett Brothers - saw them at the Garage in Highbury and Koko last year - one of the best live bands I've seen

Jonathan Wilson - saw him at the Borderline earlier this year with Dawes and Jackson Browne - really talented musician, producer etc - great CD out now - Gentle Spirit. Would fit in really well at EOTR or NDH - Garden stage.

Dawes (as above!)

  • 3 weeks later...

I never seem to know whether acts are undercard or headliners!

I don't get this thing about the biggest act should go on last, maybe because I'm 'less receptive' by that time! I've always informally categorised acts by time of day, i.e. sunny afternoon acts like tUnE-yArDs, early evening acts like The Unthanks. Living in the far North of Scotland I don't get to see many acts locally (even Inverness is a trek) so this is my wishlist:

The Avett Brothers

Gillian Welch (headliner?)

Devendra Banhart

Andrew Bird

Bonny Prince Billy

Bill Callahan

Clare and the Reasons

Bruce Cockburn

CocoRosie

Deerhunter

Dirty Projectors

Espers

Efterklang

Field Music

Josephine Foster

Inara George

Grizzly Bear

Iron and Wine

Cass McCombs (try again!)

My Brightest Diamond

a long list and I'm only half way, plus of course I wouldn't mind seeing many acts again that I saw this year.

    • Id does seem short of a few names but maybe that's it.
    • although in reality he just doesn't want to upset the nimby locals.
    • The peat excuse is a pretty strong one though.
