I got really excited when the emails came through about this tour, but at £54 + fees I think its just too much. Which is a real shame as I LOVE the chilis. Not long now till the new album though :)

1 Tix for SHEFF!,A bit pricey, but another sign of the times i guess, and itle be worth it seen as i am a massive fan of thiers.

ive yet to see them standing at their own gig,i sae them in manchester 2006 but was seated.

I actually got to see JOhn Frusciantes last gig which was the leeds festival 2007. People complained that they jammed to much and didnt play under the bridge, but if people watch back they played a decent setlist, sounded good and showed you what you dont get on cd,them jamming out!.( ithink people didnt like the s.a songs, and the band didnt go mental onstage as the reading gig had sound problems and they had just come to the end of doing a massive tour and 3 albums without a break)

Ive always wantd glasto to book them but seems like loads of people got hate for the chilis, and eaviss are said to not be keen on them, but they could look at it as a headliner that has never played before but who are massively popular and very talented/exciting live when on form.

Also the rhcp seem to be of the right kind of people to go with the glasto ethos, flea has a free school of music for underprivalged kids!,surely eavis must be down with that!.

Thier new album is guna be quite different with josh klinghoffer replacing john frusciante.

And forver many people dislike them theirs a hell of a lot of people who do like them!.

Not to fussed if they never play glasto, but glasto can only choose from a small group of headliners which obvs get smaller by the year as they use up more of the few big headliners.(unless the recycle their headliners, which i dont think they would want to do too much)

sounds alright to me(but i am massive fan so ye)

I really dont think the band were that bad live at any time, maybe some times the setlists arent the best for the moderate fan and the energy of the band is low due to them doing to many big tours without decent breaks inbetween dates.

at the time i remember coming back to our campsite and everyone saying they were really good, then when we got back and a few people said they werent good the others who previously said they enjoyed it suddenly bandwaggoned onto hating them and dissing the performance.

Why does everyone seem to think they're already signed to soni? Just cos they said they were looking at getting them?

And the I've gotta agree about being opinions of the R&L shows have gotten much worse through time. I remember all my friends coming back from Leeds and opinions were all between 'good' and 'a bit boring', but no-one gave off the the impression that it was bad enough to get the amount a negativity it gets now.

Also after a 4 year hiatus hopefully they should have a bit of on-stage energy,

    • My understanding is that the queues returning back to the UK will be much worse (up to two hours) but the queue entering Lisbon isn’t so bad. That’s just from reading a few forum posts about it though so take it with a pinch of salt!

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
