This will be my 6th time and we've decided to camp!! Camped twice, apartment and bonterra bungalows twice. All the cheap places sold out before we got the money together so we're going back to basics for an adventure. Camping is way more fun, makes you appreciate it all more and you get to meet loads of folk on the campsite. I'm also driving there and back :O i really do have a deathwish this year, can't wait :D

Anyone done the road trip before got any hints/tips? How long did it take?

Bevvy selection is terrible, won't bullshit you about it, the beer is Heineken, one beer token is $2.50 and you can either get a 330ml drink of heineken for that or for 3 tokens you can get a litre. Be wary that you have to drink a litre fairly quickly as obviously it's hot and no one wants a warm beer. There's no cider and then all spirits are also 3 tokens (from memory last year it was vodka, sailor jerry, jack daniels and bacardi) but they freepour them and they are very very strong, easily more than a double. Really it's not too dissimilar in pricing from any UK festival, just would be better with more selection, I like Heineken so it's fine, there are LOADS of bars in the festival which really is quite a small festival so you never need to queue for a drink. Food is fantastic, bucket loads of choice compared to most UK festivals and priced quite similarly, although there's some real bargains around, there was one stall last year doing freshly grilled sandwiches for 4 euros, I think their selection was steak, chicken, chorizo sausage, bacon or halloumi and they had lots of chutneys and salsas you could put on. You will get searched at the gates but last year we sterilised a bunch of empty suncream bottles and filled them with toffee vodka and sangria, and no one checks those so that might be worth a try if you're an alcoholic like me, really make sure they're clean though or your alcohol will taste like piz buin. Hope that helps mate, anything else just ask!

When asking the Official FIB page about the next lineup announcements they said: 'As soon as possible' which makes me think they're waiting on a band to allow them to confirm. The Killers, maybe? They'll want to announce some shows with a new album.
