I cant see Blur playing as they'd be too similar to the Roses (reformed 80s/90s British pop band). I think they'll have one day with David Guetta/Dizzee Rascal, the Roses/New Order day, the Florence and the Machine/pop day and then maybe an American day with RHCP/Killers/Foos/someone like that?

They must have spent a bomb on the Roses as FATMachine is pretty small, i can see them getting a dance act in so maybe they'll fork out for a big name as well.

Apart from the Roses, Horrors, Noel G and Miles Kane its looking a bit drab for my tastes.

Blur Hyde Park??? Just posted by NME on Facebook:

"Hey everybody, why not write NME a nice letter? You can write about anything from Blur (hyde park, new record), Jack White (live shows, tracks etc) the Teenage Cancer Trust shows, NME Awards tour/shows, Skrillex or whatever you like! Best one gets £50 worth of music vouchers! The address is [email protected]"

EDIT: It's now been removed, seems like they let it slip early....

    • I have no issue with the Primavera crowd in most respects. They’re always friendly, respectful and no hint that there could be trouble at any point.   However…the talking is horrific here. The xx was pretty much ruined for me due to people having conversations with their mates the whole way through. Noticed it from all different nationalities across the weekend…English, Irish, Spanish etc. There seems to be no understanding of the nuances of when it’s okay to talk and when it isn’t. And obviously the sound being quiet at a lot of spots on the main stages exacerbates the issue. That alone has made me reconsider whether I will be coming back, it would probably take a lineup as good as this year (unlikely)

    • I found the vibe a little different to recent editions.. definitely an older crowd, less queer, less Spanish.. certainly has something to do with the lack of Glastonbury this year. And I felt Saturday was a little overcrowded. I‘ve never seen Mordor as full as last night for the xx and Gorillaz. Did not enjoy that too much.
    • Not my favourite year either, despite liking the lineup more than previous years. Not sure what it was, I guess Thursday really put the brakes on things. But yeah I'll be back next year hopefully. And maybe Massive Attack will return...
    • E-mail summarizing Saturday - Primavera Sound 2026 Journal Day 3. As in previous days, it's going to be on the website soon, I think.
