Really nice camping neighbours

I know there is a lot of talk about inconsiderate neighbours, but I guess that many people had their festival made by being camped up next to really great people. Don't want to sound Pollyanna-ish but for me the festival is for a large part about who you meet.

We were next to a lovely bunch of lads from Manchester- Ben, Stuart and co(not efestivalers). We looked out after each other, shared equipment, and swapped stories and laughs. I was sorry to say goodbye to them on Sunday.

Anyone else with good neighbours?

All the people around me were friendly, kind and fun..And they all left nothing....Had an amazing festival and didn't as usual witness one act of unpleasantness.. I thought the glasto spirit was definitely alive and well..

I had some nice neighbours in the South Park field all nice and friendly. I had been watching two mates struggling to put down a pop up tent for around half an hour when one of the neighbours popped out of his tent and put it in the bag in two seconds. Ruined my fun watching them though!

Had offers of help while I was putting up my many tents (various friends) in the rain and did accept for the frame tent. Also had an offer of beer and sandwiches when looking particularly bedraggled.

The very 'intoxicated' bloke who came over to chat was followed by his mate who apologised for him - both were friendly.

We had fab neighbours in cockmill, everyone who came through our camp was needlessly apologetic, people introduced themselves, said hello, it was a lovely experience :-)

I had a group o lovely campers next to us, we went to see acts together, chatted, had drinks and a few joints with them almost every night from Wednesday

We had fantastic neighbours this year. Dick and Dom we salute you (mostly for putting up with the louder members of our group)

Hello to Alec in Lower Mead from somewhere on the South Coast (I forget where) who was with his mates from Yeovil, thank you for letting us use your Gazebo- hope you had a sound one as we didn't see you again any more.

And to the lads from India in the tent next to us who we didn't see until Saturday night and Sunday morning.

I've never really chatted to my neighbours before this year which is a bit shameful really

I was surrounded almost entirely by decent folk (Dairy, opposite the turning for gate E), we introduced ourselves to all of our neighbours on arrival and said hi to those who arrived after us, never really got to know any of them but that isn't really an essential.

The neighbours directly behind us in 2 large family sized tents did their best to help my daughter when she needed some assistance with the fact we stupidly bought tins without ringpulls and no tin opener and somehow managed to pack up their stuff and leave while we slept sunday night without making a sound, left only tent shaped grass markings and no more waste than is to be expected for a group of their size. They were good folk, I think I overheard them mention they were from Evesham and I'm very grateful that they were such good neighbours all week.

Most of my neighbours were small tent people like us, so apart from sleeping and coming back to change we and they were rarely at the tents. I don't really get the attraction of spending your week sat around the tent getting wasted, I can do that in my garden all year round, but each to their own.

I did notice that the annoying sound of nos was down this year

We had some sweet neighbours next door in the East Campervan fields, E23. There two lovely little girls, Rosy and Daisy were great and kept us and our little girl entertained too.
