Watching last nights footage of U2 and something is puzzling me.

I read that U2 were bringing their own stage,I think it may even of been Eavis himself who said this.Now I knew that obviously they wouldnt be performing in the claw but other than the wee ego ramp at the front,what is different about the stage?

Only addition was the T shaped catwalk at the front of the stage, I think Bruce Springsteen had somthing similar in 09

He didn't have one at Leeds 2002 but to be fair he probably didn't people to see him up close during his fat with cornrows phase.

His walkway was pathetic. I am pretty sure Patrick Wolf had a similar sized one on the West Dance stage.

I expected much better from a band who bigged up the stuff they were brining. They spent about 5% of what Beyonce dropped.

Medium-sized? Tiny? Certainly felt like it.

I know it was wet, but I walked straight into the arena about 20 minutes before they came onstage.

Thoroughly dwarfed by Paul Simon's and Beyonce's.

Mini thread hijack, but ..

Yeah he was totally brilliant right? It did feel like he was standing out from the stage a few times though. I think it's such a shame he hasn't exploded with this pretty poppy new album. Pretty surprised. But then I am pretty happy as it makes him pretty easy to see live.
