Missed the coach...

I have had quite the morning, was meant to be catching the coach from Cardiff at 8 this morning. However due to a human based error (me not reading the ticket properly) I turned up late. After a joyous 15 minutes chatting with Seetickets hold line I've found out I've got to make my own way there tomorrow and get my ticket from 'unspecified Seetickets location' at 10 o'clock.

Pros = I can have a shower tonight and go to my own bed

Cons = I'm not in bloody Glasto.

There's no real point in me posting this, other than being after some sympathy.

I was going to say you should speed after the coach and flag it down, bandit styleee. But then realised if you could speed after said coach you would be able to drive to Glasto and so not need the coach anyway.

<slaps self with kipper of stupidity>

Chin up fella/madam , at least you have made those of us still stuck waiting a bit of amusement and you are still able to get in :) I'm sure you aren't alone in missing the coach and you can take some solace in the ground drying out a bit by the time you get there.

The thousands of others have had time to get over not going to Glastonbury. 4 hours ago I thought I'd be nearly there by now. Just a bit of a shock, you know?

You are right though, at least I have got a ticket and I'm only missing the Wednesday.

I'm going tomorrow afternoon (and pretty much always do, as do most of mates). We're planning on camping around the back of the JP tent as we nabbed a big old space there with plenty of room on the Thurs last year.

Years ago it was unheard of to go down before Thursday. Now thats the norm it seems. Meaning the farm gets churned up, and the general smell of people if much worse over the actual weekend. I love camping as much as the next man but the thought of going down there any earlier than Thursday night just seems absurd. Each to their own and all that, enjoy.

I've long argued that tickets should be sold with a daily entry date from Wednesday to Friday to help with traffic flow and that camping fields should also be opened on a staggered basis. But that's not been a popular idea.
