General excitement thread

I don't know about anyone else, but the combination of reading the weather thread slightly obsessively and being stuck at work for another two days has somewhat taken the Glastonbury excitement out of me at the minute... So, I'm trying to fill my head with things that give me that Glastonbury tingle of excitement to to get me back into the spirit of things!

First thing I can think of is the sheer wonder of having just entered the site after queueing etc and thinking, "Christ, finally, we're here! Wahey!".

Anyone else?! ....bands you can't wait to see, places, smells, photo's, whatever!

This does the trick too...

I still have the rest of today, all day Monday and Tuesday moring at work! Been making loads of silly mistakes today as well - I am going to blame that on Glastonbury excitment (when in actual fact it may just be me being a bit crap).

I can't wait for hat moment my tent is up I am unpacked and sat in the glorious sunshine (please?) with a can in my hand, and can breath a sigh of relief - ahh!

After a crazily busy few months and having spent the last 72 hours locked in my house throwing up everywhere and going to the toilet every 10 minutes, I have finally realised that Glastonbury is less than a week away. The last few days before I leave is going to be crazy as I haven't had a chance to do any shopping or anything yet. However, the thought that I am going to the greatest place in the world in four days time is very good indeed.

i was staring at my tent with a sexual glint in my eye, thinking that in less than a week i will be entering you in a pissed mess.....

oddly enough thats exactly how i became a dad (although the tent was swapped for a woman- just clearing that metter up) :P:huh:

I am very very excited, i have just sorted out the clothes I'm taking, footwear, favourite hoody that i took last year, hat, woolly hat for night time etc, all whilst happily knocking back a few ciders. All of this has well and truly got me in the mood! Sod the miserable weather thread (which put me on a downer earlier) we're all gonna be bimbling about in a happy fuzzy loved up state at Glasto in 5 days time! Happy happy happy days :D

    • Hi all, first timer at trees this year volunteering with Oxfam. Any tips or suggestions of must-sees other than the main stages on my time off? I keep seeing chats about the silent disco?    Also any smaller bands recommendations? Sprints / Arcane Roots / High-Vis style. Cheers all 🤝
    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
