Getting engaged at Glastonbury.....

If you're going to propose anyway, and Glastonbury is a special place for both of you, then why not do it at the festival? And if you are going to do it, do it early on so you can get the extra buzz throughout the festival. Go on, you know you want to

I like the favourite song idea.

Ate there stalls there where you can buy cool relatively inexpensive rings? I know which engagement ring I'm going to buy and there is no way I'm going to take it to glasto with me!! So buying something there would be a good solution.

I'm pretty sure you'll find the odd stall dotted around selling rings - there was definitely one in the corner of the Croissant Neuf field last year as I bought myself one.

Are you going to have time to purchase one while she's not around though once you're at the festival? Could you get to somewhere like Next or Dorothy Perkins or somewhere else on the high street before you go just to make sure she doesn't catch you buying it while you're there? One less thing to stress about during the build up to popping the big question once you're there as well! :)

How exciting!

Someone asked for the same advice last year. Here's how I replied, hope it helps.

As I don't have the relevant information I can't give a straightforward answer, however I will try and cover all scenarios.

1, She takes it up the arse.

Dont even think of leaving it until Glastonbury, propose to this little princess now.

2, She doesn't take it up the arse.

Well, you're really going to have to think this through, can this last long term? Probably best not to propose at all.

3, I don't know if she takes it up the arse.

Well what better place to find out than Glastonbury? Craftily pack some lubrication, tailor made lubricants may look suspicious but there are some good spreadable butters around, as you're planning a romantic gesture, may I suggest Clover as it contains the word "lover".

After a typically wonderful Glastonbury day stumble back to your tent, make sure she's well pissed by now. She will have that "I'm at Glastonbury" warm glow about her, head nicely spinning from the drink. Now is the time to make your move. Start off with the normal fingering and other routine forplay, move on to normal intercourse, then, when she's nearly at the height of passion, flip her over and knock on the back door. If she doesn't let you in then refer to option 2. However if she does let's you in, consider yourself engaged. Before you fall asleep in each others arms, think. You have had the most fantastic day at the festival followed by some intense, passionate lovemaking and you've proposed. There won't be many, if any moments in your life when she will love you more than she does now. You've gotta go for A2M.

Or you could do a deal with a stall holder - get a ring beforehand and pass it to the stall holder.

Have a quick a look at the stall, "oh, you got any others like that?" you ask.

Stall holder gets your pre-engraved ring out... "how about this one?"

"Yea, I'll take it, can you stick it in a box?"

Stall holder passes you your ring in box. You propose.

Cheesy :).

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
