Alright I'm curious.

Are any among you, who have been to Glastonbury before, willing to admit that they *haven't* seen every stage and stall, at least from the outside?

I reckon that every time I've been, I've walked every pathway (other than in camping fields). You could never experience everything that's going on -- for that you'd have to be in more than two places at once, but you can at least be aware of the opportunities.

I hear from people who say they've not ventured into Shangri-La, or not found the tunnel under the railway track. Is that common? Why would you not explore to that extent?

Last year was my first and i didnt see as much as i wanted to. I think, in part, it was due to the ridiculous heat. Just heading to the Pyramid from the Park stage i needed a nap . Also the fact it was my first it was all a bit big but this year im definately going to explore, especially on the wednesday and thursday.

Been going since the mid-90s and there's loads I haven't seen. OK, from the outside, I have mostly, but that's not really experiencing them.

• Haven't been to the underground piano bar
• Haven't been inside London Underground
• Haven't been in The SnakePit
• Haven't been to the cinema since it went indoors
• Haven't seen the dragon in a hedge.
• Haven't been in a naked sauna.

But I have:

• Been in the Chill n Charge (rubbish - now got a cheap phone that lasts a week)
• Been backstage by mistake - went through a gate which had no security and found the least crowded bar ever with pool tables.
• Had an argument with a security guard to let me through the gate to get out of backstage - he didn't want to let us out as we didn't have the right pass
• Queued for Shangri La at midnight - big mistake
• Camped in an area that turned into a pond

This will be my 15th. Only went to The Crows Nest for the first time last year. But I don't think it has been around for long. LOVED IT..

By returning year on year it certainly does allow for places that havent been visited to become 'ticked off'. On my 10th visit I made it my mission to find that bloody Dragon which was achieved.

Sadly I have not had much money to spend in the markets since the mid Noughties and so I dont really torture myself by mooching around them but this then allows lots more time mooching in the GreenFields checking things out and chatting with the crafts people. I do aim to treat myself to one workshop craft activity a year if I can.

By knowing what I didnt see/get to the previous year it means then I know where I must try and focus some time on the next time I visit. This year I really want to try and spend more time in the eastern end of town (Acoustic, Kidz, Circus, SL by day etc). And even though the Park has been in existence for however long and I live a field away, I still havent given it enough attention.

Trying to have a kind of plan in your head does help. My 'must get to' timetable does get shifted quite suitably though.

I ticked a couple of things off the list last year... found the underground piano bar, strummerville and the stone dragon. Also found a tunnel under the railway track but it turns out it wasn't the tunnel under the railway track, so that one's back on the list for this year!

I'm sure there are loads of little things still to be discovered off the beaten track, that's what makes it so great

Stumbled across the underground piano bar last year after a night in the rabbit hole, great place!! Walked in and there was a guy in stocks getting onions and tomatoes thrown at him... If you walk from park, behind the tipi field in the general direction of shangri la, its along that route before you get to the stone circle area... Ther is a caravan dug into the hillside, enjoy - ps what's this tunnel?!

There is still alot of the site I have yet to visit. I've never had call to venture to the kidz field, circus or acoustic. I only saw my first act at avalon last year and I'm pretty sure there are plenty of other places I've yet to find.

I'm not really into 'ticking off' sights, however, so it's really that I'll only be there if there is a reason for me to be there.

If that's the small stage right at the top of the lounging/viewing area, then yeah, it was new last year I believe.

When I looked in, the Magic Numbers were playing there.

The Tunnel is at the far left of the Greenpeace Field and exits in a field on the west side of the Green fields. Cant remember precisely which one, it always surprises me. I think its not far from the the Speakers Tent and the solar power stall. Green Futures? Its not a great deal to write home about but was useful for being able to hop skip and jump around/under the long queues for SL at night. No need now sadly

Well last year was our first and I do think we did alot of exploring. There's plenty of areas we didn't see so we'll be looking them out this year. I don't think we spent any time at The Common which is something I'd like to resolve this year.

Errr.....From looking at the map I think it's in between the stone circle and dragon field, however it was stupidly late i.e 4 in the morning on the Sunday and we were in no fit state! We left one of our friends curled up sleeping in there.. If you stay along tha area near the perimeter you'll find the caravan. Good luck!
