lets pray for arctic monkeys! When they were touring their 3rd album,they said that they wont play glasto (aat least) until next album (released this week)

The only problem is that they are playing Germany on Thursday and then Luxemburg on the Sunday (which i guess is pretty close to Germany) so it doesn't really make sense to move their whole equipment to UK and then back to Europe

But we still hope

Just thought of somebody who:

a. Is currently on tour in the UK with a gap on Friday June 24.

b. Is an established artist making something of a comeback.

c. Has played Glastonbury before.

d. Could arguably headline any stage which isn't the Pyramid or a dance stage.

Why not Ryan Adams?

I suspect they've been mentioned before but I haven't read the whole thread (sorry), but how about The Killers?

It looks like they're going to play two warm up gigs in London on 22 / 23 June before their Hard Rock Calling gig on the Friday, which makes me think maybe they fancy a slot at Glastonbury too.

I'd be in two minds about seeing them really, but they'd probably put on a decent show.

Found out about Thom Yorke on the Friday morning. Went up to the sound guy and he asked who I thought it was. I guessed Radiohead and he said that I was "very close" but wouldn't say any more so took it from there. Might try and do the same this year to find out who the guests are although it does spoil the surprise a little bit!

There's 30 minutes setup time between B.A.D. and Friday's special guests.

There's 0 minutes setup time between Tame Impala and Saturday's special guests.

Using that, we can determine:

Friday = band

Saturday = DJ

It feels like we know less than we have in the past, but that could just be my poor memory.

It's interesting that there's no gap for the Saturday slot; that could always be an error.

I have a feeling that it'll follow the previous pattern and one of the special guests will be really quite decent (Thom & Jonny) and the other a little underwhelming (Klaxons)

not really - if its an acoustic set (by someone pretty big name like Noel G etc) then it could be that they'll just move the stuff in between the next changeover? Or it could be Jay Z doing something without his band? Doubt its Pulp on the Sat though

No set up time? Jay-Z with a turntablist, methinks. Certainly "could" and, of course, has headlined. Plus ME has already said that Beyoncnull is going to be on site all weekend (quote said something like "I think THEY'RE good friends with the other headliners).
