Lauren Laverne with a hint towards Radiohead on the twitter. Or just seeing a nice sunset slot up there in the park after learning a new word.

@eddychemical I love a bit of gloaming. The Gloam Slot is one of the best bits of Glastonbury, innit.

@eddychemical I'm booking an hour of your time for us to gloam together. 8.30ish, The Park?

Gloaming does just mean twilight, so might not necessarily mean Radiohead. Also slot is at 8 o clock, not 8.30.

Pulp looks very likely, but just can't see Radiohead happening, as much as I would love it to.

However, IF by some strange twist Radiohead do play, then surely they'd be the Saturday slot since they're more of a headlining band than Pulp.

Depends when they were booked as Emily said a few weeks back that the Friday slot hadn't been sorted. Might have only happened recently

I don't remember seeing anything about Emily saying about Saturday being the potential headliner?

Just googling the quote, it just says on NME (but it's actually quoted as an NME interview rather than something they've taken and stolen

Would be really weird to have Radiohead play there again this year as special guests in fairness.

I don't get the gleaming quotes, but I'd just be surprised if they were playing as special guests again (well on the Park at least).

    • Good catch this. Used on the Main stage on Saturday like a really cheap alternative.   Cracking little day though. A few Belgian acts to start the day (Atomic Orchestra, Kids with Buns, Selah Sue), some UK/IE midsized bands to end the afternoon (Gurriers, Wunderhorse, Wet Leg) and then an evening of Deftones, Florence and Underworld.   Can’t wait to be there and (at least try to) make the most of it.
    • I would be surprised if they don't, given 2022 was the twentieth I imagine next year is going to be pushed as the 25th anniversary so having the most local big name artist possible headline seems natural. Maybe SFA are being saved for then too?
    • I’d be incredibly surprised if she was in the headline conversation at all. At best I could say a high Pyramid slot but I reckon maybe Other headliner against a rock act like Fender or even Other sub (where I have her in my predictions). I’d say Gracie Abrams is pulling similar if not better numbers to Tate and she was third down on the Other last year.
    • I dont think headliner. Other stage maybe
    • Sophie Williams (journalist and Mercury Prize judge) was on Huw Stephens' roundtable last week, said she'd love to see Overmono headline Green Man. Does feel like it's bound to happen. 2027 is surely on the cards seeing as they're about to release a new album
