I've only just started to actually buy stuff for this year, due lack of funds. (though i have written the long glastonbury list!)

Just wondering what people have bought so far for this years festival.

Feel like i need some ideas and inspiration on what to buy etc

Though i do plan on searching ebay for some ridiculous hats etc.

I know i will be spending a good long while in poundland.

Sorry if this has already been done.

I've a new Tent, walking boots, collapsible water bag, dry bag, cutlery knife thing, gaiters, headtorch and a £15 phone, recommended on here. Just looking at carabiner mugs and bottles at the minute.

All adds to the excitement!

Nothing at all yet. I'm pretty relaxed and quite last minute about it generally. The first year I went was 2007 and I lugged loads of stuff on site that I didn't use (I go by train, so keeping my bag light is extra useful), so ever since I've been trying to pare down to the essentials.

Might have to invest in a new tent this year though - my current one needs a good airing. Might also get a new flagpole (I keep the flag by the tent - it doesn't come into the crowd) because I lost my last one somewhere on the train home. Other than that, there's not a lot I need really...

We go in a campervan and have got all the camping stuff we need, but always seem to take too many clothes. Am thinking of taking hardly any this year and wearing whatever fancy dress we can get cheaply onsite and afterwards it can go to another charity shop at home.

Bit of a shopping spree for me this year...

New tent (same as the last one, just a shiny new one)

Trolley (at last!)

Solar charger

I'm also considering a camping stove and doing some cooking while I'm there (2 decades since I cooked at a festival and that was a disaster)

Apart from that its the usual collection of snack bars, cereal, handipack tissues and other essentials.

A hunter poncho, a packable backpack, Johnson baby wipes (£3 for 6 packs in Asda), camping chairs, (2 for £10 in Asda) a trailer tent, collapsable water carrier, a camping table, and torches! Can't you tell we ain't been before  I am sure by the time Glasto arrives I will of been compelled to buy even more stuff we don't really need :) Oh, forgot to add a cheap phone hehe

Tried and tested stuff we've bought that has been proper handy:

Poundland:

http://www.poundland.co.uk/product-range/a-z/outdoor-solutions-camping-light/ - works a treat

http://www.poundland.co.uk/product-range/a-z/outdoor-solutions-karabina-bungee/ - karabina stops the bungees 'pinging' off

http://www.poundland.co.uk/product-range/a-z/outdoor-solutions-camping-stool/ - weighs nothing, easy to slip into rucksack

http://www.poundland.co.uk/product-range/a-z/outdoor-solutions-water-carrier/ - does what it says on the tin!

http://www.poundland.co.uk/product-range/a-z/travel-solutions-3-pack-vacuum-travel-bags/ - clothes not so bulky

http://www.poundland.co.uk/product-range/a-z/outdoor-solutions-emergency-shelter/ - no tent sauna

http://www.poundland.co.uk/product-range/a-z/outdoor-solutions-twin-pack-emergency-blankets/ - stick inside the coolbox - we still had frozen water and hard butter saturday am (arrived tuesday)

http://www.poundland.co.uk/product-range/a-z/foldaway-picnic-blanket/ (waterproof on one side- brilliant)

http://www.poundland.co.uk/product-range/a-z/tall-solar-post-light/ (weigh nothing, give pretty good light)

Got cheap ponchos from asda for a quid that were brilliant

Did my ankle 2 weeks before going last year so got one of these from ebay for a fiver. Bloody brilliant. Stick helped when on uneven ground, perched on the seat bit when ankle was playing up. worth its weight in gold.

Cannot recomend buying a garden trolley enough, made life so so much easier

Got one of these for six quid off ebay last year and it was brilliant

i am going for luxury a little bit this year after years of sleeping on the ground without even a yoga mat under me, i have an inflatable mattress (borrowed from my folks) and i've just purchased a hollowfiber trek pillow, an extremely lightweight quick drying towel and some ear-plugs as mine are lost - the mattress is heavy-ish but the rest is incredibly lightweight :D
