try as i might i just cant nail going for it during the day/charging from 1 stage to the next/standing in the same spot for hours/knocking back litres of liquor.....then heading up to the places where it all happens after dark,seriously start to wane after midnight,not into lugging chairs around and all that either.....gonna try it again this year and see if i last till the sunrise.....advice is needed

It's the walking that knacks you, knocking on 10 miles everyday. Why not try and get fit(ter) between now and the festy. Shoes that aren't going to rip your feet apart help as well.

And if you can, get a good nights sleep on the Tuesday, its always that what f**ks me up. I was asleep before 10 o clock last year on the Wednesday, thanks to no sleep the night before, all that sun and the constant boozing.

Here's my regime:

Assuming normal return to bed at 5 am.

Ear plugs, eye mask and tent coated in silver foil blankets. Take a valium at 4am. Get up at 10-11am. One pint of water with 4 rehydration sachets in and a berocca. 2 cereal bars. Another pint of water with 100g of REGO (Science in Sport recovery drink - see website) - trust me - big winner. Another cereal bar. Sit down. Read paper. Few tins of preferred tipple. Stay at least at one can per hour - fast enough to stay awake, slow enough to not get ballooned drunk. Choose time of escalation (depends on your music agenda). Escalate. Breathe a deep sigh of relief at midnight that you've not weeded out. Everything from now on is a winner. Keep an eye out for chemicals of your choice in whatever form. Take the opportunity throughout the day to eat well and whenever you're near a water point and not in a rush to do anything else, get some on board. If you see fresh fruit - eat that too. Go to Shangri-la or similar, get carried away, look at your watch, see it's 5 am and noone else is around. Realise you're an hour late for your valium. Go home. Repeat.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
