That's a good one apart from Paramore Headlining.

It's quite hard to predict the NME tent now like this year with Vaccines and Naked and Famous they only became noticed towards the end 2010 and the start of 2011

There's too much realism in the poster. Even this year there were bands that took me aback.

Paramore < MCR < most other considerable bands in the headlining stakes. Just.

Sure is pretty poster though. I hope they change its design one year. Just as a challenge.

Edit: Just a thought. Most of these bands have all played since 2008.

Sticking to the five year pattern The Killers will probably do IOW, T and Oxegen next year and then 'exclusively' headline R&L in 2013.

Paramore will be lucky to play R&L again and certainly won't headline.

Nice tent line-up.

Although I don't like them it isn't really about their quality, even though they didn't really stake a claim for a headline spot last year, I just think that they're a band on the wane and that their profile will never be as high as it was last year.

They've lost half their songwriting team and I can quite easily see Hayley Williams being eased into more and more duets/guest appearances on songs and eventually a solo career when the band decide to go on 'hiatus' (or are pushed towards it by evil suits in the management company) as she's the only one who is signed with the record label, especially if the new album doesn't do well.

I just don't think they'll push on to headline status but instead probably regress slightly and they're unlikely to play a lower slot so soon after subbing, and eventually when enough time has passed for them to be comfortable playing a lower slot the band probably won't be around anyway.

I think subbing last year for them was strange anyway... They were sandwiched in between in my opinion the 2 best acts of the weekend. Weezer being the best just meant that after that i was kinda bored after 3 paramore songs and desperate for blink to come on stage

That lineup poster is actually way better than this years if you ask me.

Paramore are nearly big enough for a friday headlining spot (the one I would consider the least important headlining spot), killers and foo fighters are sizable enough, I'd probably see Iggy and the stooges on saturday but yeah I like those headliners.

The undercard is pretty solid too, except no crystal castles.

Main thing with that lineup though? I wouldn't feel like I was being ripped off, the bands are big enough to justify the ticket price and there is a lot more on I would plan to see.

I'd say Bloc Party would be in with a shout of headlining, if it was their big comeback Gig. New album could be what pushes them up to a headline slot. Also maybe Biffy, they're definitely a future headliner in my eyes.
