My Chemical Romance to play Glastonbury. They have a free date on the 25th June. I've heard all the negative stuff so please give that a rest

They're shite. And that cover isn't very good. Apparently not very good live. I'm assuming an exclusive for R/L. Doubt it'll happen, nor do I really hope it will

I really used to like My Chem, (during the dark emo days), they have some cracking tracks such as Helena, Not Okay and Welcome to the Black Parade, but this new album is torture to the ears, they are supposedly very poor live, my mate saw em at Wembley for the NFl and said they were weak.

Nevertheless they'd be good for some people, but where would you put em? Potentially too big for Other Stage (non-headlining), and too big for a mid Pyramid Slot, so where the frig would they play?

It's a 2/10 chance from me.

There's no chance at all. Whatsoever. The only place they could play on Saturday is headlining JPT. I like some of their older stuff, the new record is a let down.

They won't play though, and wouldn't.

I used to have a real soft spot for I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love when it was released. Haven't listened to it in years though. They were a good live band in small venues pre second album but then they blew up and replaced raw energy for over production.

I agree, some of the old stuff I quite liked, but after seeing them at wembley then and hearing their newer stuff, in my opinion it is truly awful. Still, id say theres a chance theyll be there.

I loved the first album ! And to be fair I don't see why they shouldn't play ;-) when I saw them at Leeds in 2004-5 they were first band on in the day so they could play reading and Leeds both in the same day, So as to not cancel and let there fans down! Shame a few more bands don't put that much effort in ?
