In a somewhat unlikely turn of events, I have spent a portion of this evening arguing with people posting on UKuncut about why they shouldn't be so dismissive of the edl and that many of them actually share the same worries but have a misguided outlook on the cause and the solution. I won a few over too. My plans for all out class war and revolution this summer (between Bearded Theory and Summer Sundae)moves on apace. I do in some ways pity this guy. He's obviously thick as pig shit, in all probability been f**ked over by society, and believes he has issues that aren't being addressed by the political system.

It does raise an important point though, where is the line drawn between social responsibility for his views, and his own personal responsibility.

Obvious to some but not everyone I can absolutely assure you and whilst the educated continue to sneer at, rather than engage with, people with legitimate concerns, those concerns go unaddressed. It's easy to poke fun at the thicko, especially when he doesn't even know it's happening.

I honestly think we should cut a bit of the country off and let these people live there in their white, British utopia...these people really irritate me, ah well as others have said they are products of their environments. Saying that I live in an area of Scotland that is an SNP stronghold and until recently had only a small amount of Asians and literally no black people, I grew up with little money yet I managed to grow into a non-judgemental prick like those!
