Eh? Well it happens 2 months before R&L so yeah it does come 1st.

You asked the question about support acts that are big enough to sub at fests and examples have been given, if you are trying to change it to just R&L in the same year then it will be hard to give an example since you are narrowing it down too much and not because it can't happen.

I highly doubt Foos will do any, unless they play Marigold, that they've been known to play live a fair few times in the past. Whether or not anyone else will choose to mark the anniversary with a cover...I guess a few will inevitabley

Mate, Kasabian are not as big as in the UK at many places outside the UK, they played nowhere near the top in Germany so I don't get your drift. But you're right with MK Bowl gigs, I was forgetting them, but they are an arena selling band, New Order are not.

No, a academy selling band that has yet to fully sell out CANNOT headline R&L, Paramore sold out an arena tour and only subbed.

It's not just me saying it, Neil himself has said this with info before, that if they play it, he can't see them that high, and with that in response to them being 2nd

2008 there were three nirvana covers I heard. Manics done a cover, can't remember what of. Dirty pretty things also did one. I can't remember for the life of me who did the other. Leeds festival this was. I'm sure dizzie did teen spirit in 2010 as well.

Oh and last year little Roy done a load of nirvana covers.......

I think if they were fully reformed with Peter Hook they could without a doubt headline but may be seen as a poor headliner by some whereas were they subbing in that instance they'd be seen as a monumentally good sub act. However, looks like that's not going to happen anytime soon so think they'll have to be seen as a decent sub and a very weak headliner by many at this time

whilst I agree they won't headline you do realise how influencial New order were as a band don't you? it's like on the V forums going on about has beens Stone Roses headlining and why would a festie do this - I mean WTF again do they realise how much influence they have had?
