?

What does everyone reckon?

I laughed it off when someone mentioned it a few days ago, but the more I think about it, the more I could see it happen. New album out aswell.

Personally think it would be awesome.

probably :/ but to be fair... nobody is pretty certain about headliners this year! most certain people are about is muse.... and neil says "its more likely true then not" what that? 51% ... idk? .. theres still a good possibilty... none of the headliners are even TBC on efests :/ soo im still holding out! :D even though its 99% wishful thinking :P

I'd say that there's a greater than 90% chance of the three rumoured headliners - Muse, Strokes, MCR - being correct.

As for REM, I've heard that they turned down the festie offers they had, so I think that's hugely unlikely.

if its 90% how come its not TBC? o.O

because stuff only gets marked as TBC here when it's believed to be a certainty*, and not just highly likely.

(* while stuff that's TBC is believed to be a certainty, there's still the occasional error with this - what we know can only ever be as good as the info we get.)

Don't put me and OKB together, yes I did make that thread stating I know the headliners and that MCR weren't one of them. But the forums were pretty dead and I was simply playing to what alot of people wanted to hear. I'm sorry for doing it. I don't continously post bullshit.

ahhhh :) fair enough! :P ... dont you usually have atleast one headliner TBC at this point?

Yup, tho that's not been the case every year.

If the info I've had for this year had been received in the last month, then it's very likely that the acts would be marked as TBC. More than anything it's the time span between me getting that info and the announcement which has led me to have some doubts.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
