Love them, best band ive seen this year! Only band ive seen this year lol.

They are impressive, just hope they are the day MCR headline because i cannot be doing with that.

If they are going to put a band like MCR on then they need someone decent to give people a choice and they would fit right in with me!

If you prefer your front man to be running around the stage like a loony, calling you all f@ckers, and pretending to be a devil by making strange gutteral sounds. then, yes, you may find them quite dull. I saw them in 2009 and thought that they were quite professional and accomplished. Enjoyed 'em. Haven't heard the second album yet though.

Im a fan of both vampire weekend and white lies, there is no doubt of the 2 vampire weekend are the biggest as they have had a lot more media exposure. I agree white lies arent as popular as previous headliners, however guitar music in general isnt as popular as it was 5 years ago. Thats why some of the main stage headliners havent sold as much as some of the bands in previous years. White lies have 2 top 5 albums out of 2 which is probably enough to headline in 2011.

They were ace at Manchester also. They aren't playing V and they released an album in January, so I can see them deffo playing, where's another question though. I'd have thought they'd be big enough to headline NME, I mean who are our main NME rumours at the moment? Idk, if not 2nd in the tent or 5th~ish during the strokes day.

    • Remain self-imposed on not going north of a hundred, but... we're getting to the point now where the starting gun will be above that for some acts.
    • I'm finding the lower line up a little impenetrable this year   Any thoughts on heavier bands a la Slift a few years ago?
    • Will be curious to see how most of those shows sell. Surprised they're playing Leeds and Manchester - much as I am with Megadeth. (Not complaining, mind you.)
    • Biffy Clyro back again for R+L then 😁   To be fair, Biffy Clyro still one of the true "coup" bookings they've had here. Not implausible another Victorious headliner ends up in the mix, given Ashcroft has done it before. Maybe Kasabian, on the back of their arena run?
