Tomorrow morning (Friday, 7th January) you'll be able to hear an interview with Will and Chris on BBC Radio 1's breakfast show, in which they'll be talking to Zane Lowe about Coldplay's plans for the year and giving an update on album #5 progress. Nope, but I don't normally get to hear of when there might be outside of the full line-up announcement - which I guess is likely to be at the end of May as it usually is (unless there's a major leak as there was last year, which I managed to get confirmation of accuracy via underhand means, which then caused them to announce early).

Yeah why would they make a big fuss about announcing a glastonbury date, probs just a date for the new album or a road test tour before the new album

Apparently at one point Zane Lowe said "Gllllaaasssttooonnnbuurrryyy" randomly, just dropped in. Chris Martin said nothing. I reckon it was confirmed when they were chatting off air, hence it coming from Zane as Chris won't have been allowed to say anything about it on air.

I'd be happy with Coldplay as one headliner tbf, can't say I've disliked anything they've done

I only caught the tail end of the interview but they didn't really sound very confident about it all unless that was just a smokescreen that they've put on.

They haven't announced a tour yet 7 it sounded as if they hadn't finished recording yet so it'll be very much touch and go.

They're doing some european festivals:

Rock Am Ring, Rock Im Park and Pinkpop in June, Werchter en Heiniken Open Air in July (week after Werchter)

So I think they'll do Glastonbury too
