i don't know why anyone is actually making a complaint about the baby swap storyline. sad bastards.

I take it you mean the actual act of complaining..and not the storyline itself? I`ve been thinking about Complaining..and Meine Gott--we have enough to actually complain about in this country today..but to actually complain to a TV station re a soap?? Who does this? But 10 000 people is a substantial number though isn`t it.

I complain when I feel the need to eg: a bus left the station 5mins early meaning I had to wait another 3hrs for the next.. I went f**kin beeserk..but theres no way I would complain to ITV for allowing Sally to have her pants dampened by Tyrobot.

Can I complain about Mumsnet.com complaining about cot death.

Where do you draw the line, I've lost one parent to Killer No.1, Cancer - and the other parent to Killer No.2, Heart Attack.

Amongst millions of fellow 'effectees' do we COMPLAIN about every death portrayed on screen - course not! What gives ANYONE the right to say that their version of grief is any more important and untouchable than anyone else's.

I'm not surprised the BBC caved in - just like that Vicar Bloke who dared to speak a few home truths about The Royals Wedding Record.

Yeah, that Fizz !! - surely the most annoying ginger bint in Soapland - she even shouts from 2 feet away. Mind you, that Stape is an annoying plonker too - but, with only 4 employees and ONE punter in the Betting Shop, how would the Bookie Trade survive without his efforts ??

Actually I DID find Audrey and that slithery male prostitute VERY offensive.

But again, Audrey's Salon - with it's 4 employees fighting to twist the hair of their ONE punter - we cannae do without her!

Surely, that Street alone must negate (good word!) ANY unemployment in the Greater Manchester Area.

Den get on yer bike and set yer SatNav for Weatherfield........

'colin fishwick you say? you've got the job teaching all these kids'. 'you're going out with my daughter you ugly ginger bloke? how about a few shifts with me and jason?'

Hollyoaks is the only one worth watching, full of fit lasses and the writers must know they are taking the piss with the stories.

Over christmas the guy who owns the pub who is an ex premiership footballer, his daughter comes out as being transgender, at the same time that his father-in-law visits, who just happens to be a serial killer

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh lad, aye dunnni nerr 'bout eneee one else but Den not nerring 'bout The Archers being on Wireless, when I was lad we was so poor we didn't have a telefishin and had to make do with listening to the radio because we couldn't afford the rental on a set. I think he might be one of the better-to-do types and lays it on a bit thick.

I did start out as georide (ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh lad), before veering violently towards Hull (nerr = know) before just being daft before resorting to my default of cliché.

Essentially it was saying Den hasn't ever been so poor in his life that he didn't have a television and had to listen to the radio instead, and specifically radio 4. When I was a student, I had no television for the first two years, and instead found Radio 4 to be my friend. Especially the Archers. I used to get up and listen to it every day at just after 2.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
