All very straightforward but honestly - why do people do it more than once?! (boring birth story to follow - apologies!) Waters started breaking at 8pm yesterday after I did The Twist in the kitchen while making dinner , assessed at 9.30 and told nowt was happening so booked for induction Saturday morning if nothing continued to happen. Contractions started at 1.30 and by about half 5-6 I'd lost the will and decided I couldn't take any more (at high volume - god knows what the neighbours must have thought!). Arrived at hospital at half 7 expecting to be sent straight home again and was told to start pushing! Gas and air is possibly the best thing in the known universe and restored my sanity when I was seriously at the point of losing the plot! I would love a supply directly piped into our house. We got pretty much our whole birth plan bar getting to use the pool as we turned up so far gone! But seriously - doing that a second time?! People are mental! Would have been home hrs ago but discharge took forever.

Will get some piccies tomorrow when she's looking a bit less Mr Magoo-like
