And one final thing....I need to apologise to someone who I think is from the forum....If you tried to introduce yourself to me on Friday lunchtime, please accept my apologies....a bit too much alcohol Thursday night/Friday morning had blurred my senses....I wasnt being rude, I just wasnt expecting anyone to walk up to me & introduce themselves!! Hope you had a cracking weekend!!

Great weekend, glad I picked this one for my first festival. It's so chilled out yet I'm still so tired and don't think I can handle Leeds fest in three weeks!

Highlights for me were Vintage Trouble on Sat night/Sun morning in the riot jazz tent. They were just as good on the mainstage but the atmosphere in riot jazz was amazing.

Other highlights included The Cribs, The Whip, Frank Turner (could've headlined in my opinion), Blondie (suprisingly she's still got it. I was at the front and it was.brilliant apart from the two drunk women who punched me in the back of the head).

Nathaniel Rateliff sounded beautiful in the library tent,as did Lucy Rose. Craig Charles on Sunday night topped the whole thing off wonderfully. Unfortunately I had to leave.early because everytime I closed my eyes, even to blink, I could feel myself falling asleep.

The people of pootopia deserve an award for being lovely people and working ridiculous 22hr shifts at times and they saved me from being sick due to the state of the portaloos haha

One thing that could be sorted is more security on the main campsite entrance. There were people in the campsite asking for spare tickets to get a wristband and some were just jumping the fence near the toilets by the arena entrance.

All in all, a wonderful weekend :)

Crikey. My first time at KC and it was cracking, due in no small part to the weather - how lucky were we?

Highlight for me was Blondie, Debbie can still kick it and the crowd were well up for it. Lancashire Hot Pots were reet gradely as well ;) . But everyone I saw did a good job - was very disappointed by the acoustic Charlatans set though - it just reminded you of how good it could have been, they really do need that Hammond organ to fill out the sound. Thought security were spot on, helpful and not over bearing. As we were packing up there were a couple of guys doing a round of the camp site and we heard a call come through that a local was kicking off because somebody had taken a dump in their garden as they were leaving the area - dirty sods.

Kept hearing rumours that it wont be in the same venue next year??? which would be a shame as it was beautiful - site was left a shit tip though, how hard is it to pick stuff up and stick it in a bin bag, lazy bar stewards.

All in all excellent time - we'll deffo be booking for next year :)

What a fantastic weekend! The weather really helped - how lucky were we? The music was even better than last year. Friday, Liz Lawrence on the 'Get It Loud In Libraries' stage and The Virgin Marys, Kill It Kid and Frankie and the Heartstrings on the 'Calling Out' stage were the highlights. Saturday, The Lamps Expire, Kitty, Daisy and Lewis, Young Knives, Bunnymen and The Cribs were amazing whilst Sunday topped it all - Vintage Trouble got the early afternoon crowd in a great mood, then Hugh Cornwell, The Lancashire Hotpots (great set) and Frank Turner, who seemed to be really enjoying the Hotpots from the side of the stage. The Levellers sounded great but as I've seen them 6 or 7 times before I watched half the set then caught The Chapman Family on Calling Out, who were great. Blondie finished the evening off in great style - much better than I had expected.

My only disappointment is that I didn't know The La's were playing a surprise set, so completely missed it :(

Roll on next year!

Absolutely gutted I missed the La's. My mate came back to the main stage to tell me that Lee Mavers was on stage at Calling Out but I was so wasted I never believed him!!!

Great weekend though, with superb weather.

Must admit, thought that some of the better bands were on ridiculously early, but seen pretty much all the sets I wanted - highlights were Joana and the Wolf, Echo and the Bunnymen, Cribs, Blondie, Charlatans (although they destroyed North Country Boy) and some of the comedians on the soapbox stage were quality.

Roll on 2012!

Had a ball! The booze thing was a bit crap tho, luckily I asked when I was first going in if I could go back to the car, then they tell me you can,but not for booze,so it was really lucky I asked,I was pissed as I had my arms full with other stuff, and was going to go back out for the booze later,so I had to go back to the car and grab my booze first!Where I was camped, you could go through the fence,I saw quite a few in the early hours of saturday morning hopping through. There was no security at all by those gates/fence.People were even driving their car down and throwing stuff over the fence,so they didnt have to carry it all through the gates.

No booze in the arena,um well I managed to smuggle in everytime :D.Will deffo be back next year, and the weather just topped off a great weekend.

    • Lost my love of football years ago so I pay very little attention to it these days but I'm really enjoying Max Rushden's video diaries of his flat share with Barry Glenddening. I think Barry might kill him before the end of the tournament
