as long as King Blues finish in pretty decent time I'll be able to catch most of Bright Eyes (not far from oxylers in west to other w00p).

bright eyes are my band of the year so far, hadn't even heard of them before this very thread, but now i've got 5 of their albums and i'm loving learning their songs on guitar also. :D

It's such a shame he's on so early and is therefore getting such a short set...normally Conor fairly religiously sticks to the album he's touring, with a few back catalogue numbers in the same style thrown in, but on this final tour he really seems to be mixing it up...some of the setlists for headline shows are pretty incredible.

I'm just so glad some Digital is getting in the the set. Thought that it would only ever be played when they toured for it.

Oh and last time they played back in 2004(?) they did a three song secret/last minute first thing in the Guardian lounge. Best way to start my first Glastonbury. So keep your eyes peeled.

They played Man Named Truth.

'Somebody saw somethin’ and they said hey, it looks like a pomegranate, and I don’t know why they call it a pomegranate, but it looks like a pomegranate, right? It became, no matter what language you spoke it in, the syllables are frequencies. It’s the world of creation in vibrating strings, which is sound.'

Deep shit...

But anyway. I am hyper like a little kid at the prospect of seeing Bright Eyes again. This followed by the July gigs is going to be incredible. I just hope he whips out Messenger Bird's Song.

Saw em last night in Leeds. Going to gigs for nearly ten years and I must say that it was the best gig I've ever seen!! Played for nearly 2 and a half hours and I just stood amazed at how great it was. Fantastic set list, band on form and Conor been a truly great frontman. Picked up a ticket off ebay for a fiver and I very much doubt I'll spend a better fiver in my entire life. I'm gonna get Easy/Lucky/Free tattoo arm next week. Been debating it for a while, but yesterday just seeled it.

And tbh, I thought it was a pretty average set at Glastonbury by em!!

The Dawg. That could have been your mistake of the year if they were anything like Leeds. Not to rub it in or owt ;)

I loved the glasto set, it was a great choice to have all upbeat numbers (with exception of Poison Oak). The cape was a cool touch too.

Leeds and Manchester were both great gigs... but think Leeds won out for me. With such similar sets, the first time is always going to be special, and I think Manchester had some time issues judging by how fast they rushed through the last few songs. Met the band (and Johnny Marr) after the Manchester show. Conor headed straight for the buses, but Mike and Laura hung around to chat with people. They were super nice!

I was blown away at Glastonbury. I'd never seen them before and behind Elbow they were the performance of the weekend.

The band is so tight and the way they make their music so powerful and Conor has incredible presence.

Some of the new songs went down a dream. Fantastic.
