just needed to share that I'm listening to a cover of Whole Lotta Love by some godawful heavy band

and it's 'orrible

why?

lots of that nasty wah-wah soloing, just a whole lotta nothing really

though from what i've heard, he is awful live so would have been pointless as a touring act for me.

I didn't know who it was, or that Santana had released a covers album, so it was all new to me

it just seemed like an odd song to cover.

it's the performance that makes it for me (Zeps version)... I'm sure it'll do pretty well though, so what do I know?

nah ... and I don't want to. I can't really stand Santana at the best of times, but Santana murders some absolute classics with help from Coby Dick might make me cut off my ears

Yes, well I think this has something to do with the fact it is a covers album. I can still easily tell its him mind.

However, I`m sad to say that due to financial restraints.. I have only heard a few tracks on the wireless. 1st time in 42yrs I haven`t bought a Santana album on its release.

Listened to the Whole Lotta Love track a few times now...and I dont think its worth the slating given in the opening post.

Ok--I`m a "fan" but I think he`s put his own little slant on it without murdering it.
