I assumed you'd seen this, which appears to carry quotes from DP's management stating it is NOT them.

As I've said above, such things I'm taking with a huge pinch of salt.

The guy who got in touch with us would happily say on the phone that it wasn't them, but got very cagey when I asked for it in writing, and then didn't give us a denial in writing when explicitly asked for one.

To my mind, the fact that he wouldn't commit in writing to what he was prepared to say on the phone says something.

So my take on that statement on nme and elsewhere is that it's been given over the phone, and not in writing.

I think Coachella gets announced in the next couple of weeks. Lots of rumours they're playing there and if they are then it would perhaps give a better impression of there touring plans this summer.

Apparently it's going to be the Strokes, Arcade Fire and Duran Duran at Coachella with the source ruling out Daft Punk.

According to a source, Daft Punk were offered one of the headlining slots but declined because the group was simply not ready from a production standpoint to return to live performance.

Keep checking all sources, and although there was some speculation that they would tour 2010/2011, nothing has been forthcoming so I reckon this is dead in the water unfortunately
