gorillaz to cancel manchester show :(

gorillaz are set to cancel manchester show due to a lack of ticket sales...i have a friend who works for Manchester MEN and he told me theyre pulling the plug. bugger! its set to be public news anytime soon im afraid.

i wonder if the negative reports from the glasto gig have had an impact on theyre ticket sales?

They lost all demand when they turned themselves into a proper band from a cartoon band , they should of stayed as bloody cartoons.

Thats no shows anywhere North of Birmingham after the Newcastle and Glasgow cancellations.

It's a shame to all those that were going - especially those who booked up after the first call-offs.

I think the quality of the shows with them are always going to depend on which guests they can drag in.

The guests on the UK shows are pretty much most of them, and both Little Dragon & De La Soul are playing support slots - gonna be a great set of gigs, plus they've added 19/2000 & Tomorrow Comes Today to the set recently - I can't wait!

Superb band, Superb live.... but the reason for the lack of sales is due to the price. £50 a ticket is waaaay too much. As good as they are live, and as cool as the music is.... £50 is a massive no. I would have gone to a show if it was cheaper.

Arty pretentious nonsense, caused the biggest crowd exodus seen at Glasto (well 2nd only to the England Germany match). Those that remained were left scratching their heads wondering WTF it was all about. They have their die hard fans who will protect them to the hilt and will get a bit aggro and trollish towards those who dont like ( You dont like Gorillaz, you must be a twat mate!!) but Damon has over done it this time, needs to stop being so up himself doing Chinese operas and OTT concept albums and get back to his indy roots

I wouldn't really call them arty or pretentious in any manor, I just think describing them as being bland is the most accurate way to go about it.

I like 19/2000 and Dare, but apart from that they have absolutely nothing going for them. I pity anybody who watched them over the 'Lips this year.

They were fantastic. Although I'd be lying if I said I wasn't SLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHTLY jealous about Lou Reed coming on stage during Gorillaz set.
