Motorhome hire

Guest Funkyfairy!

Last year we borrowed someones motorhome and drive it across from Jersey and it was awesome staying in one and not lugging stuff. This year we are bringing some G virgins with us and would like to hire a van (preferably 6 berth)

We will bring the car across to Weymouth/Portsmouth/Poole and would like a van thats not hours out of the way between there(ish) and Glastonbury

Has anyone got any suggestions at all. Bit lost on who to rust and who not to

A friend hired one today and was told he would have hired each van out 100 times which has made me panic a little

Any assistance would be great please

Thanks a lot (as always)

Thanks a lot StoneCirle, I have PMed you back. I got a call yesterday from a company we originally wanted to use (but they had none left) - he had a 'cancellation from someone who had booked straight after last years festival but hadn't got a ticket this year. Feel sorry for the person who didn't get a ticket, but secretly chuffed we have a van sorted

The guy said he'd had a few cancelled this week so for anyone sruggling to find a decent campervan keep trying there seems to be some 'returns' around

There's a warehouse in the little town of Uckfield, East Sussex that I live near to that in the past week has got new owners and now outside it, there are parked 2 GORGEOUS VW campervans with 'For Camping Hire' emblazoned on them. I cant find a web address but I did just google and came across THIS website. No idea if its the same company obviously but worth a call if anyone from this part of the world is looking.

    • Israel and Lebanon agree to a ceasefire...problem is Hezbollah, and problem with Hezbollah is Israel. Israel should withdraw, put onus solely on Hezbollah...who are already weakened, which would then strengthen credibility of the Lebanese govt. But with Netanyahu in charge that is unlikely.
    • I saw that the payment method is contactless wristbands - I understand you collect them at the festival site and can top them up there as well? Yes, there are top up points, keep the recepe if you want to withdraw the money in the end   How much does food and drink usually cost at the festival? We would like to know how much money we should prepare for the festival. Beer, Wine etc. 5€, Gin tonic, Whishkey Cola were 6-6.5€, food 10€    Is there a bus from the festival site to the city center? And are there any stops along the way? No offical info yet, but ussualy there are free festival buses from Ljubljanica to festival site, with few stops on the way. Nice to get to the festival but crowded from festival back to the city.   Where is the best place to find an Uber/Bolt to return from the festival site? Petrine ulica   Are there any shaded areas to take a break from the strong sun? Yes, i think there is some.
