I cant stop listening to this album! Best album of the year for me, and possibly better than their first (my initial perception of the album was very wrong).

I pray they get a late night slot somewhere at glastonbury, and I pray they do another london gig in the near future.

This album is sensational.

After reading this thread, I've had a listen to both albums on Spotify a few times and quickly gone from "quite liking" to "f**king loving" both these albums. Must try to catch them live at some point as I reckon it would come across great live. Fingers crossed for Glasto then.

I'm getting into this album now, will need to go back to Grinderman 1.

Infact my only Nick Cave album I've listened to was Dig Lazurus, which was alright but didn't grab me. Missed at Glastonbury (well was in Pyramid area with them in background) as had coincided with our meet up time with our group of mates and then everyone was on the food hunt.

They'd been one of the ones I'd planned to see, but without much prior knowledge wasn't too lose any sleep over missing (and wasn't going to lose the rest of the group at the end of the weekend).

The more I listen to Grinderman 2 the better it becomes. I've just got it on repeat in the car constantly. The second half from "Evil" up to and including "Bellringer Blues" is absolutely outstanding.

I agree a late night slot in an intimate setting like a tent would be awesome. Fingers, toes an everything else crossed.

Can we perhaps petition one of the Eavii in case there are any slots still available?

In my opinion Dig Lazarus is one of Nick's weakest albums and I am not surprised you werent grabbed by it. Don't write the bad seeds off based on that album alone!

TBH, there wouldn't be much that could tear me away from that. Maybe REM on the Other would, but it's a close run thing. I;m still mulling over a ticket to the ATP "Your Mirror" gig in London. Grinderman and Portishead are probably worth the £55.

I've decided not to attend that ATP gig. I've never been keen on Portishead and £55 just for the Grinderman is too much. I reckon they will defo tour again so I'll catch them then. Hopefully somewhere like the scala or even koko would do.
