I hope it pisses down all weekend ( on the self rightous posters above ), unless me and the others staring at PC screens all day yesterday and all this morning waiting for the stupid ticket page to refresh finally comes up and we get tickets.

Then I can join in with you lucky ones :P

4 per transaction would have made no difference. i wasn't going around making max bookings. most people i helped only wanted one or two so i had to f5 like a loony to get in to make each new transaction. same as anyone else. it just so happened that because i had already made a connection through sheer bloody luck, it seemed to make the odds better that i could get on the bookings page again.

it's a shame you're not my facebook friend, or even a friend of a friend, or a friend of a friend of a - you get the idea - otherwise you would have been on my help list too.

would you have refused that help?

And that barperson can only pour so many drinks before that time is up, he would have sold the same amount of drinks to other people.

If the person who didn't get sold that last drink is unhappy, he should complain to the bar manager, not the people who were served.

Having been on the other side of the fence for a few years, always managing to get a ticket, sometimes at the last minute & another time being helped the year tickets never sold out, I had no idea how unpleasant and stressful it was for those who were unlucky on the day.

I'm not moaning, just venting frustration.

Thats the nail on the head, i was saying after missing out last year that exact same thing. I still say that peoples registration numbers should be used like a lottery. two people linked to each number & then if you miss out it is literally the luck of the draw. I dont know i have not given this a great in depth amount of thought but if you miss out then it litterally is just down to luck & nothing more.

THe system as it stands is people sitting on the home PC's/laptops/smartphone or phone line trying to get through to a overloaded system while people get through & book more tickets than is laid out on the see tickets website T & C's......

Like Duncbob said it's not the fact people did not get the tickets it's the system that failed they are annoyed at.

If a customer orders more tickets than the maximum allowed, as indicated during the booking process, we reserve the right to cancel the order. The maximum applies per person/card/household.

http://www.seetickets.com/Search?q=glastonbury&search.x=44&search.y=12

From the glastonbury website(Basic ticket information):

"You will be able to book up to 8 tickets per transaction by paying a £50 deposit per person, either online at www.seetickets.com/g2011 or on the booking line: 0844 412 4635. You will need the registration number and postcode for each person for whom you are booking a ticket."

This whole queuing argument is really kind of bogus, as people make it sound as if they got 'queue jumped' by a bunch of random people who just rocked up to try and purchase tickets at 10:30 after a nice lie in. I imagine most people who bought tickets on behalf of others did so for others who had *also* been queuing (unsuccessfully) since 8:45, just like everyone else. So it's not really "jumping" the queue. It's more like being in a general scrum outside Studio 54, and then your mate gets picked at random by the door staff to be allowed to go in and says "and I'm bringing her with me," pointing at you. You may still think it's unfair, which I understand, but the people who 'queue jumped' may have been trying just as hard as the people who ended up not getting tickets - it's impossible to say one person is more worthy than the other.

    • Guitarricadelafuente was bloody brilliant tonight. This is going to be a very Spanish focussed year for me. Rusowsky dragging out Las Ketchup on Saturday has the potential to be a Prima magic moment.
    • £112 for standard entry. No thank you.
    • Meanwhile Gracie Abrams is £92 for the cheapest with the average price around £160 for lower tier and £103 standing.   First time in a while I've gone from a definite yes to a definite no on price alone.   Amble was £31 this morning.
