Hey,

Got involved in this last year but it all went by the way once everyone backed out and we decided (me by force) not to go, but this year I'm going there's a group of us and we're already talking fancydress as you do. I also have 2 weddings and horror of horrors bridesmaid's outfits to wear.

So basically I'm in and need your help 7 stone to go!

and if your interested thats me in the fairy costume, I will never be a fat fairy at another Glastonbury!!

schmangle-mangle that's just ticket buying stress, it's over, step away from the barrel!

Hi - Last year to got fit for Glastonbury I set myself a challenge and entered the Great North Run for Charity (child Cancer Research). If I don't have a target or a challenge I find it very hard to get motivated.

This year I have been inspired by the good work of Hogga, Chaz and the world cup players\helpers and have decided to set myself an equally ridicules challenge. So, I have enter the London triathlon (Olympic distance) to raising money for WaterAid…

I am already thinking this may be a challenge to far, but only time will tell on this one…..

If anyone has any advice or experience on the best ways to raise money for this sort of thing I would more than appreciate your input.

I think I will need all the support I can get. :D

Taking it one day at a time.

Starting to try and phase these things out of my day to day diet.

So, yesterday i said 'no' to buscuits with my tea, but had toast for supper!

Realised this is a bad idea (butter, jam etc) and if i need something for supper to have ryvita/cup a soup etc..

No sugar in branflakes

cutting out using artifical sweeteners in coffee & tea (i must learn to have less sugar in coffee!)

Cutting down on red sauce!

Not to eat as soon as i come home from college! I don't need it!!

I want to be slimmer next festival season so i can go on some blokes shoulders :D

I'm a typical example of someone who claims they're going to try and lose weight then ends up putting it on, so this time I'm going to really have a go at losing my beer belly. I've already lost 10lbs in the last 4 weeks, so I'm going to try and aim to lose 3 stone by the time Glastonbury comes round. This should be achievable as I'm walking nearly 10 miles a day already, so if I can slowly turn that in to running 5 miles once every 2 days then I'll hopefully be able to have it gone by that time.

I'll keep you updated with how I get on! :)

Hola have come to the firm conclusion that I need to shift the pounds gained by giving up smoking earlier this year. I was initially quite relaxed about putting on the pounds vs giving up the smoking but you kinda know when enough is enough dont you?

My plan of action is to initially commence walking home from work again (its a 5 mile trip) and getting very strict with the no gluten thing and using a smaller plate/bowl!

good luck one and all!

Thats really good going! I have a friend who has just come back from her holidays a whole 12 lb heavier!! She self admittedly ate her way through the All Inclusive buffet and drank the bar dry! :D

3 weeks in and i'm 10 lb down! Another 23lbs to go and I shall maybe shift the goal a little bit lower! We'll see! I'm lucky - I actually find it incredibly easy to lose weight - It's keeping it off that I REALLY struggle with! Its not hard for me to shift my weight in either direction by 3-4 stone over the course of a year! Christ, I have a whole wardrobe spanning 4 different dress sizes! Hopefully this time i'll find a happy medium and stick at it!

Hi guys, this is my very very first post (actually a lie, the first didn't work !). So i am brand new here.

I am very very determined to shift the pounds for Glastonbury next year (yay i got a ticket!). Last year was my first glasto and i had some issues with my trotters before i even got there which meant i was in constant pain the whole week, however i still managed to enjoy parts of it.

Next year will be my second glasto so i am determined to enjoy it to the fullest and be in the best condition i can. Good luck to everyone here. Lets make a promise to ourselves and imagine how much better we will be felling next June if we achieve what we set out to do or imagine how bad we will feel if we don't (i'm not going there). Maybe we can all meet up next year for a doughnut? LOL

Good luck guys! By the way i was one of the guys building the grass dome in Shangra-la last year, which was trashed :)

Check it out

Welcome all who have joined since my last post, I have managed to stay over the 5 stone wight loss whilst away on my holidays but have lots going on in the next few weeks, a 21st birthday, a halloween party, my birthday, my sisters birthday then christmas and new year. My intention is to try to lose every week that way if I do have the odd 1lb or 2lb gain I should at least maintain then hopefully by the new year I will have a fully mended ligamnet and can step up my excercise to kick the final stone or 2 off...What d ya reckon, a good plan?
