i've heard a few things that matt has apparently said. i think he called katy a fame hungry twat. wagner has been slagging off the show aswell. even the contestants think it's a bit ridiculous.

i still enjoy watching it, but it's all getting a bit crazy in the media this year.

of course it's ridiculous. anyone who takes the show seriously is a buffoon.

think matt's being a bit of a twat now. just concentrate on yourself and ignore everything else. does he really care if wagner is still in? or do you think this is all just a big thing organised by simon to have stories released every single day.

there always seems to be bad stories. yet nothing ever happens to the contestants or it never ever gets mentioned on the show. i'd imagine that 90% of them are all fabricated. not a day goes by when the show isn't getting column inches for one reason or another. moyles was talking about it a few weeks ago. it's not just a weekend show it dominates the media every day.

there has definitely been more media attention this year. for people who have no interest in the show and don't want to watch it or hear about it, it's difficult to avoid. the silly stories, arguements, outfits etc are all getting more attention than the singing/performing. i think rebecca is probably the person who has had the least negative publicity, i haven't heard anything bad about her. it's between her and matt to win but i think she could be the winner since there have been no bad stories about her. she seems like the nicest out of all the contestants.

yeah mirror, sure he did

i remember the story of one of the groups trashing simons house. which never amounted to much either. as i say, 90% of these stories are probably fairytales.

a friend of mine used to work with Simon Cowell.

At the time she worked for him, there was a story all over the tabloids about Abs (remember him? Was in Five, then had a one-single solo career. It was at the launch of that solo career this happened) having taken Cowell's roller (or Ferrari, whatever - I forget the car, but a mega-flash one) for a spin (with the suggestion of it being without his permission) and written it off.

None of it ever happened. It was a story planted by Cowell (or more correctly, my friend at Cowell's instruction) as a way to try and hype up interest in Abs to launch his solo career.

Never believe anything you read.

yeah i take any xfactor story with a pinch of salt. like wagner being in mary's room when she only had a bra on and then refusing to leave?

the thing with this one though is i don't think the group who 'trashed his house' were named. so wasn't really similar to your abs story, but obviously something to keep discussions on xfactor during the week.

I still think Matt/Cher 1st/2nd , not sure which way, 1direction wont make top 3 imo

I'm basing this on my own opinion..so could be miles wrong, and the viewing figs for the videos for each live show offf the x factor uk youtube channel!surely that has to provide some kind of insight - if someone is trailing by 200,000+ views on youtbe then id assume they aren't doing great in the vote?!

i'm not aware of the amount of views anyone has on youtube, i wouldn't really base my opinion on that though. if 1 direction have a lot less views, i don't really think that indicates they are less popular. most of their fans will be wee lassies who will get their mum's to vote but maybe wouldn't watch the videos on youtube.

JLS came second, 1 direction seem really popular and have never been in the bottom two, so i could definitely see them coming third.

    • I really like the Cheap Thrills! I saw them at the Ruby Lounge in Manchester in January at one of Chris Hawkins' "Awesome Friends" nights (which i think is why I even got tickets as it wasn't listed as a Cheap Thrills show!). Very good live and some great songs. I would've gone Saturday if I'd planned ahead!
    • They also seem to be in a mission to break the US with their new major label and this latest LP   Mid afternoon, live streamed on Disney+ is arguably a much bigger gig than Kendal Calling, if they had to skip one
    • This is massively exciting. I've been curious to who will be provide vocals for their live show and this is mega!
