FYD were shockingly bad. I knew they'd be out 30 seconds into their song and no-one else had even sung yet. In fact all the groups are dreadful. The camera was only showing one of the blokes from Diva Fever for some reason. Was the other one (David Walliams in drag) even singing?

Mary blew everyone out of the water. I quite liked Aiden. The weirdness of it wasn't your typical X Factor.

katy should have went last night. she was awful singing we are the champions, they will be very limited in the songs they can pick for her because her voice just isn't good enough for bigger songs.

i really can't stand her though so i'll be slagging her off every week no matter what she does.

i think it was a shame that FYD went, i quite liked both of their performances and don't think we'd seen the best of them yet.

i think it's right that nicolo went, he was a bit pointless. his singing is pretty average and although there's worse singers in it, he didn't really have the personality and uniqueness of some of the other acts.

The groups will go fairly soon I reckon. The one made up of solo guys, cant remember its name, is extremely old fashioned and not relevant any more. And girl groups never do well - I can't think of one thats made it into the final 4 or 5 weeks.

Just caught up with it all on catch up and read through all your comments and I think some of you are nuts lol!

Belamie were good and show great potential and 1 direction(the boy band) song choice, vocals and performance was the highlight for me.Couldn't fault it.

I thought the song choice for Matt was poor, didn't show his range or ability at all.

Aidain sang well but its more of the same, needs to start bringing more to the table.Bit one dimensional and expected him to have progressed more.

Along that reasoning I think Rebecca now has some confidence after that and I look forward to what else she has to offer as Simon was right,it was a very safe performance.

Katie was dull.Poor song choice, vocals weren't blowing me away and a dull performance. She does atleast inspire a reaction,I f**ken hate her.I realise F.Y.D weren't great in the sudden death thing but I think they have more to offer in the future than her and I would have choosen them.

Cher was good but I don't think the public will be behind her unless she puts in a stunning performance.I watch her and katie and judge them more harshly because i think Gamu should have gone through, anyone else do that?

Storm I thought was boring and dull,Mary was fantastic but I don't think she has much to offer, what you see is what you get.

he's always been that though hasn't he. from his first audition. don't think he's ever taken himself too seriously.

it could get tiresome though, i agree. ballad would be good. as long as he sings about loaf again!

X Factor isn't serious anyway, it should be fun.

People like Stavros Flatley or the Cheeky Girls don't have 'serious' careers, but I bet they'd rather have some fun and make some cash being entertaining than working in a cafe or in a call centre or whatever. Serious is overrated.

Props to Wagner because he's made me giggle a lot so far and it's only week 1

Wagner is pointless. He shouldn't be there.Clearly not going to win, clearly not going to have a serious career.I hate Louis' stupid ideas.

I'm really not a fan of the X Factor but my girlfriend watches it so I catch a bit and I'd say as a casual viewer people like Wagner appeal to me. It's an entertainment show! Does it matter if he's a bit of a joke? At least he's having fun. I'd rather see that every week than some jumped up girls with a high opinion of themselves who act like divas even although they really ammount to f**k all.

your girlfriend..none other than x factor pro rachel? :P

I agree with you mate, it's amusing to watch at least, rather than girls singing a cover (badly) or a song, drenched in makeup having some bizarre massive ego ...

who wins rex..wagner? :P

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
