Hey fellow glasto goers, this was my first year, and the thing that struck me was the weather. Boiling during the day and frezzing at night, so at night i just seemed to put on everything i had haha and like tights and socks so what was everyone else like, how many layers did you have to wear at night? just a bit of fun haha

just a tshirt during the day, then over the course of a few hours I layered up (and occasionally down) with 2 long sleeve tshirts, a jumper & a chemjacket.

I was fine until I stopped moving around 5am when the fleece came out briefly until I descended into slumber land.

During the day i had rolled up jeans and a t-shirt/topless.

The evening was an exercise in layering. I'd put socks on, then a thick hoodie, then a thin wind/rain proof 'kag in a bag'* which all kept me warmish - during the very early hours i'd be a bit chilly if i was with the crew at pennard hill (i was camped in south park) but nothing unbearable. Next year i think i'll bring some long johns just for a bit of extra warmth though.

At one point i lost my t shirt, so i bought another one. And i once forgot my hoodie, so i (being shitfaced at the time!) decided to spend £45 on a Gorillaz glastonbury 2010 hoodie - i must say, it was expensive but really thick and warm!

*The kag in a bag was one of my best buys for the festival! It was so small so very portable, and kept the wind (and rain if only it did!) out. The 'bag' part of it also turned into a massive zip pocket at the front which was ideal for storing things during the night. I bought it from Millets if anyone's interested, http://www.millets.co.uk/clothing/men/jackets/product/042309.html

Got up Thursday morning, had a wash, put on a maxi dress, didnt get cold so didnt put anything extra on at night

Got up Friday morning, had a wash, put on a new maxi dress, didnt get cold so didnt put anything extra on at night

Got up Saturday morning, had a wash, put on a new maxi dress, didnt get cold so didnt put anything extra on at night

Got up Sunday morning, had a wash, put on a new maxi dress, didnt get cold so didnt put anything extra on at night

I literally could have taken all my festy clothes in a carrier bag, I wish I'd known this before so I could have left the extremely heavy rucksack at home

Day outfit - little dress or mini/shorts with little top & sandals.

Evening back to the tent - bright tights under day outfit & change to walking boots (better support esp when walking in the dark or v drunkenly), grab a hoodie & tie round the waist for later - grab a rum refill and go!

tbh my wet weather and sunny weather packing vitually identical - I only had a kagoule and a couple of long sleeved t-shirts that i didn't use. I think that even when it chucks it down it's very rarely cold in June & trousers are a nightmare in the mud.

Shirt and jeans each day. The jeans ended up getting a bit hot after a while, so ended up cutting up one of my pairs to turn them in to shorts. I forgot my 3/4 length shorts at the car and couldn't be bothered to go back and get them. Stupid idea.

I actually found it relatively warm at night, didn't have any problems with the cold apart from the Friday night when I was luckily carrying a hoody around with me.

I mostly wore leggings and dresses, some were strappy, some short sleeved. The strappy ones were used the most, then later I put on either a shrug type cardigan or thin jacket, and changed into cargo pants and tshirt. On the first night I used my Honcho to keep warm at the campsite, but after that I didn't need it as if I wasn't in bed, I was moving around and keeping warm that way.

I sleep in 'normal' pyjamas. Rather than add layers to wear I have a decent double sleeping bag with a liner and three blankets to go on top if it's cold.

For 90% of the day I wore just shorts, socks and trainers. At night I went commmando as I had an awesome sleeping bag.

I was just glad a sky lantern didnt land on my tent and require me to exit swiftly.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
