Some of my friends had problems registering. Think we eventually worked out that it fails if the photo is the wrong way around i.e. landscape rather than portrait or vice versa.

yeah, I have submitted a couple and am yet to hear. Understand that they must be really busy so giving them time. I've assumed that you don't get any sort of rejection email if your photo is not compliant though. Will give it until mid-week then take an all new registration compliant photo.

I've just re-registered myself and the e-mail reply says we will receive an e-mail within "24 working hours", so they might as well just say 3 working days in other words. I read it just as 24hrs at first too.

Massive déjà vu moment here and all that - this all sounds like very much par for the course to me

There's not necessarily anything wrong with your registration or indeed any real problems at all. Registrations often take a week ... or 2 ... and sometimes even 3 to get confirmed or otherwise when they first open again. I don't think anyone at GFL/See seriously expects *that* many eager beavers sending their stuff in quite so soon and all that so there's probably no one really checking or anything until someone eventually realises there's a massive great backlog to sort out

The "confirmation within 24 hours" or whatever NEVER happens at the start anyway. I think the last time I registered when it reopened, it took around a couple of weeks to get anything other than the initial e-mail back despite knowing that all would be good as it's the exact same piccy and so on that I always use. Haven't bothered registering for 2011 yet, probably no need to unfortunately :( but may do one anyway just in case of (hopefully) imminent lottery wins, currently unknown rich uncles leaving me shedloads of do$h or something similar ! I think I would put (a significant sum of) money on it being at least a week or 2 before getting the official confirmation tho. so almost certainly no need to panic and register several times if you haven't heard anything just yet. It's not like Glasto 2011 is next week is it and tix aren't even likely to be on sale until October at the earliest I would guess anyway. Give it plenty of time if you're reasonably sure that your piccy etc. will be OK :)

    • Yesterday was another brilliant day of music for me. Some highlights:  My Bloody Valentine - absolutely loved it! Maybe my main festival highlight. I felt submerged in the music with all the layers and distortion. It becomes hypnotic almost as it progresses. Not as loud as some thought it might be, but it didn’t need to be. The visuals added a lot too. During the noise part of You Made me Realise, I was basically in a trance staring at the visual tunnel or whatever it was on screen. Amazing experience. Little Simz - as she mentioned at the start, you’re guaranteed a good time with her. Great performance just like in 2022. Zero complaints. The little DJ section wasn't something I expected but was cool. Kneecap - I had a blast but at this point in the night I was at my most intoxicated let's say, so I don’t remember it as clearly as I'd have liked to!    The xx - The sound for this was perfectly balanced (at least where I was) and the band were great. Lots of talkers, but with the crowd size and being kind of far back, it's to be expected. Intro was one of my favourite moments this year. Big Thief - really good live performers. The lead singer has a lovely voice. This was a nice chill way to kick off the mordor gigs for me.
    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
