Strange Boys did Son of a Preacher Man in their set up at The Park, not a bad effort

I actually thought their whole set was superb - I was only up there for Frankie & the Heartstrings and Beach House, who were on before and after Strange Boys, but I came away more impressed with them than the other two! Think I'll buy their album when I have some money to my name!

Whole set was brilliant - maybe because in such a small and intimate setting and with the whole crowd singing along to almost every song it was magic - one of the highlights of our festie

The Pet Shop Boys covered Coldplay's 'Rule The World', and bizarrely, The XX did a brief cover of ATB's '9 pm til I come' up at The Park on Friday. Almost straight away after we went into the Rabbit Hole. That was a particularly surreal half hour!

Rather enjoyed the Clash covers I heard over the weekend- The Beat doing Rock the Casbah at Get Up Stand Up on Sunday and Hobo Jones and the Junkyard Dogs- Should I Stay Or Should I Go?. Both quite ace.

Saw Neil interviewed on the Beeb. He said when they heard it for the first time they thought Coldplay had written a Pet Shop Boys song. On this performance I have to agree. Got to hand it to Chris Martin, he can certainly write well for other artists in their style (Embrace, Jamelia, The Streets etc.)
