Packed and ready thread

Packed yesterday. Even though I've made the decision to take less crap this year, I've still got shit loads. A 75 litre rucksack (full to bursting) and a small curver box. Ah well. Sorted anyway.

Roll on Tuesday.....

Everything laid out on the bed but I am waiting until Countryfile is on later to confirm the weather forecast and THEN packing will ensue (and hopefully lighter than usual). :D

I thought I was going 'light' but now am taking sack and trolley. Don't even need to take a tent as advance party has it. Can't leave out the essentials - cider and wine! Making way down Tuesday afternoon for an overnighter in a pub b&b in street early start Wednesday to meet with rest of gang

Will Start today...

I am not taking loads of crap as I normally do. So this year will be minimalist and light I hope.

However I am taking Camp bed for the first time ever and a wheel chair that gets delivered (finally  ) on Tuesday.

So starting today, is Glasto warm up day!

Packed ? Ready ? Wot ! Going somewhere real soon :O Ummmm, I've literally only just got around to unpacking completely from the last outing of of 2009 and haven't even begun think much about the first real outing for 2010 yet  It's only the tent, boots and mucky clothes various that get immediately loving care and attention on return, everything else remains in Ye Olde Rucksack all ready and waiting for next time ! Mind you, the first thing on my Glasto agenda is making Mr.Flag and I've just finished mucho printing, ironing, sewing and generally poncing around so it's not entirely all bad news and a complete lack of readiness, Mr.Flag2010 is now all sorted. Maybe by the end of today, Ye Olde Tent and his usual travelling companions will be in the bag all excited and ready to go as well although no promises and all that. Just leaves Ye Olde Rucksack after that ... no doubt a job for very late Tuesday night or even early Wednesday morning as per usual I suspect. It's always pretty much exactly the same stuff that goes absolutely everywhere at any time of year for any reason and has done for donkey's years so it should almost be able to pack itself by now in any case

Maybe we need a complimentary "is it time to start getting organised and/or begin thinking about packing yet" thread for those of us working on the Just In Time principle :P

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.

[1, 2, 3] TV Broadcasts (BBC Two & BBC Three): The channels will air dedicated compilation shows. Leading up to the weekend, you can watch archive programming such as Glastonbury: 70s Legends, 80s Legends, and 90s Legends on BBC Two. [1] Radio & BBC Sounds: Pop-up Glastonbury radio stations on BBC Sounds will feature non-stop coverage, including exclusive mixes and huge sets from past years
    • Got HBO Max to watch football so watched One Battle After Another which is a great film and deserves its awards and then rewatched Magnolia and that is a flipping amazing film...so much in it. (also rewatching Angels In America series which is also amazing).
