Well thank god for a decent result, even if the performance wasn't great. Wilshere had another terrific game, have a feeling he'll be starting on Sunday. Really is quite a testiment to him that he was brought off towards the end to protect him. The link up play between him and Arshavin at times was fantastic. As for Arshavin, I honestly can't think of a more frustrating Arsenal player in all the time i've supported them. So much talent but so little end product most of the time.

Very pleased for Fabianski too for saving that penalty. He's still rubbish but you could see how much it meant to him.

do you think he'll get the nod on Sunday as a result? Or will you be back to the equally dodgy Almunia?

If I were Wenger I'd go with Fab - while he's not the better keeper I reckon the confidence boost from last night against Almunia's confidence drain from his dodgy doings on Sunday will give Fab the edge.

I don’t think either are confidence players, they’re both just limited. Anyone can save a peno, or miss a peno. Rio Ferdinand is a great keeper for saving penos apparently and regularly wins bets off players in training, including Van Der Saar.

Arsenal need a new keeper asap. Any other manager would be crucified for not investing until now, especially after not winning anything for a few years.

Suppose any keeper plays on confidence a bit but I meant it doesn't make them of Arsenal quality. They still make silly mistakes!

I wasn't trying to say either would get up to the expected quality for a team that plays at Arsenal's level, just that there's a choice available, and that my choice for Sunday's match based on the last week would be Fab.

    • When do we get stage times through? Also, how close are we to full lineups for the Lorde and Deftones dates?
    • I would assume that Sabrina will be their plan B if Madonna falls through.
