i was thinking, most tents have 2 zips on the door right? you could attach a rape alarm to one zip and the string to the other... it would make a whole lot of noise should your tent be targeted but it will make thiefs disappear quick smart

Does seem some rather aggressive posts in this thread! True, the thieves are scum, but people do make genuine mistakes as has been pointed out. Last year at Download I boldly strolled into someones circle of camping chairs under their gazebo, parked my arse, and got very confused when they started asking me what the f**k I was doing. When my vision focussed a bit I realised I was very near to our similar looking circle of camping chairs and gazebo set-up. But, not ours, total strangers! I left sheepishly.

We always use the lockers at Download, never have at Glastonbury but i'm stating to get tempted, particularly if its free. But, my phone cost £15 (i'm in the stone age as mobiles go), i won't be taking my ipod or camera, so its only really cash i need to worry about, and my wallet ALWAYS, no matter how wrecked i am, manages to go in my sleeping bag with me...

    • Generally shorter too, I imagine. 🙂
    • Will that work for arenas with seats? People will have their tickets on their phones and needs to find their seat.
    • Excellent new release from overpass today - well worth checking out.
    • Having lived here for 2 and a half years now my take is that security, safety and organisation are just not a priority in Spain. It's not even exclusive to festivals. It's a part of everything.   Simple example. I'm Irish and in Ireland if you assemble a construction site you have to adhere to a lot of regulations about cordoning off the site so nobody can enter and get injured. Here, you're walking down the foot path and suddenly without any warning you're in a construction site. If not, you'll suddenly find yourself directed onto the road to get around the construction.   Life is more laid back here in general. Pros and cons.
