Ticket cancelled but still arrived

My mate cancelled his ticket about 2 months ago cos he didnt have the money to go

However he received an email saying the ticket had been dispatched and it arrived yesterday

Any thoughts? Would u say if he arrives at the gate the ticket might get rejected??

Has he had the £ in his account? If not they might not be able to do him a refund, however if he's been refunded then HE SHOULD GO How amazing would that be? I imagine he's not had his £ back though...

a few years back i obtained a ticket though the interweb on release day and i fully expected the money to be taken out along with having a ticket received. no money was ever taken out of my account from the company who sold it to me (i think it was aloud) though i still received a ticket. i just could not understand it Or believe it. but hey... i went for free. and as i was super skint, being a student at the time, it was a very well received surprise.

All they do is check the ticket for ultraviolet mark, its not scanned on anything.

I'm guessing out of 170,00 tickets they are bound to get a few wrong like this. Pity the poor bastards who don't get a ticket they've paid for. hope it's not me
